LOL...I'm no lawyer, but I don't think that is possible.

Copyright his throwing style? Wtf?

 

Well, to be more specific, he said his NAME is copyrighted.

 

I just went over and watched bone throwers video , "class act"
he said Dominator called him and they talked and that Dominator
IS a class act , Bone Thrower was very apologetic and said that Dominator
was quite nice about the whole thing.
I fully believe that both those guys are a class act.

 

Bone Thrower said Dominator let him know that , "his NAME was copyrighted"

 

I don't think he can do that....at least that's my understanding.

"Copyright protection does not extend to titles, names, slogans or short phrases, the Copyright Office has made that much very clear. You can not copyright your name, the title of your post or any short phrase that you use to identify a work."

 

It's possible he meant trademarking....not copyright.

 

Could somebody check on that??

Didn't Prince temporarily change his name to "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" while having a legal fight with someone (or maybe it was Warner Bros.) claiming the rights to "Prince"? I know he changed it to in 1993, but I thought that was because he was pissed at Warner Bros. for trademarking it.

 

I hope Dom trademarked it before any of these other people or places or etc.

If memory is correct, I thought the Supperick copyrighted his name and also the "Supperick frisbee or helicopter toss." Or maybe it was the Hardley personage?
