I'm not interested in being specific, a concept works well for me......besides, you did not ask those questions with the true intent of wanting to know anything. You just wanted to start another BS conversation about my lack of knowledge about DI concepts. No thanks!
Autoguy Maybe this was to much at one time....ok I understand so lets make it much easier..... I am using a 35 36 inline set and am on a ATS table and I have made several nines and the other numbers and I need a 5.... how would you adjust that set to give you the best chance of hitting the 5????? Now remember you indicated today you have good exchanges with all dice setters and have a pretty good understanding of this stuff... so what is the answer??? Maybe there is a new guy just got on this board and see the thousands of posts by you and TDV..... they would expect you to know this tdb
Absolutely! I tried a little at DI, and decided that I probably didn't want to spend the time to see if I could gain some slight advantage.....so I would never profess to accomplished at the concept. But I do understand it!
I totally concur with the " struggle " aspect and the " outside help " concept - You would NOT believe how many times I came to the point of TOTAL FRUSTRATION looking to chuck it all - But to come back later, with a fresh outlook - different / positive mind set - And over came the obstacles that nearly beat me down in the past ! It can either be called " dedication " or " stupidity " - I like to think of it as " dedication " to an acquired art - The bottom line is simply - You can only " Take Out as much as you Put in " - Which can relate to ANY and ALL activities one endeavors to pursue ! $...eE..$
snakeeyes Now you understand my point.....all along Autoguy said this>>>>>>. besides, you did not ask those questions with the true intent of wanting to know anything Do you really think he or TDV really cared about all the things they questioned others about. tdb
Snakeeyes the good news is that my craps game Tuesday night was far better than my golf game tonight tdb
So...they skip past my posts because I don't talk about DI technicalities...set, etc. THIS is your complaint??....that a poster is going to see my posts and expect a technical answer to DI from me?? I'm going to tell him I don't believe in it...if he happens to ask. Why the hell would he ask me technical aspects when I've never offered anything on the technical side? LOL...what's wrong with you?
OAP is NOT a DI - never WAS - NEVER will be - has NO desire to be one - He is a " Math Guy " and a Random Roller - by his own admission - To ask HIM questions regards dice sets and table characteristics is - to me - ludicrous ! Regards TDV - he is in his own little world - far away from reality ! He has absolutely NO clue how to play REAL craps ! YOUR questions would be better served if they were directed to SuperRick - THAT is WHAT I REALLY think ! $...eE..$
Not knowing what your past results with different sets is, I could not answer your specific question, we could talk about it, with me asking you some questions also. But if it were me in your shoes in that situation, I would just use the set that, by experience, has given me the best results in setting for a point of five. It could be any number of sets for different DI's. But you are right, getting a consensus of different DI's thoughts on it, then adopting what you learned from that consensus to maybe improve your "hit a five" set makes some sense. But in the final analysis, it's your go to shot for a point 5 that really matters.....that may differ from other's go to shots for a 5 point, in fact it probably will. If you are trying to get me to say that you know more about your individual sets and shots than me......that's easy, you do!
A lot of truth there snake. But I did play around with DC, that's what they were calling it back then. Actually put some serious time in with it before I decided that was not going to be something I wanted to spend the time on.
you talking about my golf game or my craps game..???? good news is I get out of court at 11 tomorrow and head for the cabin,,,i can play craps 3 nights in a row Maybe even get a fishing lesson from my wife tdb
Well there is something mystical about DI concepts! Ya see somehow somewhere something magical happens if you pay to see how someone else sets and holds the dice. But it has to be the right someone because that other someone doesn't know what he's talking about. But fear not, if you pick the wrong one first you'll move on to another and then another until you find the best "Yoda". Then after spending many dollars for lessons and much practice you'll find yourself right back where you started; Nickle and diming it at low stakes tables with other chunkers hoping for a win. Except you will have become some kind of "expert!"
Autoguy we cant talk about it, you don't have any idea, there was a specific answer to that question and I gave you all the data you needed.. You did not know that answer, you did not know any of the others.... Now I did not ask those questions to put you on the spot.. I did that because a thread about dice setting cant help anyone unless there are dice setters on it.... I don't expect you or TDV to know those things, TDV knows a lot more than I about winning on a bubble craps game.. some one said he was a good tennis player.. you think i would try to tell him how to play tennis???? If he has a thread on bubble craps I would watch it, but not question every thing he says.... in a room on dice influence his opinion is a waste of time. There is nothing wrong with having different interests......and I may add I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to be a real good craps player.... tdb
Dice Influencing / Dice Control / Rhythm Rolling / On Axis / Advantage Dice Control - Like back in the 60's when it was called Data Processing - today it's called IT - Information Transfer / Information Technology - Bottom line - it's ALL the same - when the smoke clears - Like in " A rose is a rose is a rose " no matter what color it is ! Most efforts do take a lot of time and dedication to make it worthwhile - One has to make the determination for him self when to say " Enough is enough, already " and pull the plug ! I guess " To each his own " would be an apropos response ! $...eE..$
no even worse.....I complete business and commercial appraisals to be used in court.. That way you cant ever make anyone happy.... but they have allowed me to do it for 40 years..... tdb
