Perfect place to and brag about the vault assault, knowing no one will be there to witness.
Yep...life gets in the way sometimes. I have no siblings, so it was always me, & Mom.
She'll be 83 yrs old in December.
Best of luck with your mom.....I am a long ways away, but if there was anything I could
do I would....I got a 93 year mom myself.
How do you distinguish that scenario from one where the poster buys in for $9000, specifying wanting it as a rainbow, takes the chips to an empty table, arranges them neatly, takes a picture (which presumably includes the casino's logo), and cashes in at the cage? "But I repeat myself." --Mark Twain
Though it pains me somewhat I have to align with von duck on this one, though I state my position thus: I require no proof to accept someone's report of a successful vault assault providing he/she is not offering that report as proof of some ability to perform this feat at will or to teach me how to do it myself.
I love details .The details of math are based in fact
not opinion. The FACT is that math simply reflects
PROBABILITIES / things that might / could happen not what MUST HAPPEN.
the confusion / disagreement thrives primarily due to the math guys
adhering solely to probability and totally dismissing possibility
For some reason the players who stick strictly to what the math SUGGESTS
is probable , lose sight of the things that ARE POSSIBLE.
The fact is and shall remain . The MATH is why some people lose ,
WINNING SESSIONS abide within the HYPOTHETICAL
not within the math.
If a person can produce the hypothetical he can win.
If he bets with the math , in the long run he will lose,
that is what the MATH SUGGESTS.
I want to know what's possible then I want to know
what I must do TO MAKE THAT POSSIBILITY HAPPEN.
These are the details I like , those hidden
within in the POSSIBILITIES not the ones
the math suggests are INEVITABLE.
I too hate repeating myself. My suggestion came from observing other crap boards where pictures of large winning, high teens, low twenty’s thousand, are taken while the chips are still in the chip rack, and the win is then further supported by other members who witnessed the win. I thought this might be doable here, in the event someone had a substantial win, and wanted to display their winnings.
Well we all know how to walk out of a casino with a million dollars.
Nobody can really "prove" anything. Photos can be faked, false claims can be corroborated by co-conspirators, etc. a photo of say, a stack of chips, is no testament as to who's they really are, or how much was put in the box, to attain them. You pretty much have to take somebody's word for it, or, maybe not.
like steve martin said, first, get a million dollars and go into the casino.
Go in with $2 mil.
That's how a large majority of players play the game.
Of course, anything can be manufactured in order to support your story. However not everything is an elaborate scheme for the purpose of deceiving you.
Disregarding the feature bets like, ATS, Fire Bet and alike, have you never observed anyone winning thousands of $$$ playing craps? Happens, happens all the time, not every player is a $5 player, nor buys in for $100. After @ 40 years of playing craps, I’m always amazed of the large amount of money some will risk on one roll of the dice.
I once played craps at sahara in vegas, Im guessing 1980 or 1981, bk, I was betting 2 dollar line bets with 5 dollar odds, my wife ripped an hour roll. a few men at the other end of the table were betting thousands on half the numbers and stacks of chips on hardways. halfway thru her roll, security came over and roped off the table from onlookers. I was thrilled I was up 3-5 hundred, my entire weeks gambling budget, dont know what they won, but at a couple or few thousand each number, Im sure they made 100 grand each, and this was 1980ish.
that was after we saw the show.
before when the first show let out, we were right near the exits to the showroom, my wife was hitting jackpot after jackpot on nickel slots. I reached in for a handful and she started screaming at me in the middle of the theater crowd exiting the show. I was embarrassed and if I recall I had a little tiff with her after she cashed in. We saw Rich Little that night. it was after the show I convinced her to roll. The pit boss covered my wifes hand at one point and asked me to press my bet, explaining he hasnt experienced a roll like this in a long time. so I think I pressed it to 10 dollars flat.
I also played craps in Atlantic city once with Richard Belzer, that table got roped off also, but only a few players besides us, his celebrity status brought on security, and he also was betting over a thousand each number, and I hit him a shitload of them.
Ive also seen what seem like hoodlums playing 5 grand a roll, mostly prop bets, and just shrugged it off saying to myself the drug business must be very very good these days.
100 dollar bettors seem commonplace on a weekend night whenever I go to any decent sized casino.
Wow! A chance to play craps with a big celebrity. It must have been a great thrill for Richard.
Back to Back Plus $170-185 hands. What can I say ? Just on.
Congrats on good hands, Dave G
