Although anything can and does happen playing craps, math does not lie. At times, it will behave as if it does, but over the short and the long, your best bet is to play a very simple game. If you have a lot of money and are happy to win a little, you can play numbers from both directions in order to ensure a profit. Even doing this, there will be the risk of having to get behind a number paying even money in order to place it for slightly less in order to net a small win either way. You'll likely win playing this way, but you won't win much and it certainly won't be interesting. Leaving this sort of hedge play aside, the best thing to do is to play one Do bet at a time. If you prefer the other direction of play, maybe get behind a couple of numbers at a time for a chance of winning more than one bet at a time, but you have a pretty big risk at come out here. Even if the favorite behind a couple of numbers, you can still lose them both. This will be more difficult to do than when behind multiple numbers playing Right. Having played the game a lot of different ways, the ONLY method that has worked favorably for me is one line bet with odds, progressing heavily with winners and regressing to minimums with losers. Still have plenty of losses, but losses are always small. On occasion, you will luck into a very nice winner. Doesn't seem to be any skill involved with this sort of play. It usually isn't very interesting, but it always prevents big losses, which might be the most important thing with long-term and frequent play.
It's a great play...but a lot here want action. Watching, waiting while others whoop it up doesn't appeal to them. Your play is about as good as it gets. It's also a reason why you are likely net ahead (or close?..can't remember) A lot of the players here need, crave action on each roll or thereabouts. Tell them to watch 9 rolls go by while nothing happens...it's like torture.
It is awesome to see the typical player buy-in and get going right away. Maybe their conservative nature has them playing only the inside on the first shooter. Soon, this will not be enough action to satisfy them, and they are all-across on nearly every shooter. Obviously mega-wins can and do happen, but WAY more often, the chips are swept off the table and the rail gets very short. I think you are right TDV. People are there for the action. It seems to be more important to them than the bottom line.
KJ, This post sums up everything any craps player needs to know! You have obviously paid your craps dues. Best wishes in your craps future! Thank you for sharing your hard earned insights into a difficult game.
The pit fall of MOST players,,,,,,,.. going up on too many numbers! I am the lEADER of the pack, I CRAVE action, Action, & more action! KOKO plays the game the right way.
You can slice it 6 ways, 9 ways, anyway you want...the math DOES work. Very tough game to stay ahead of...impossible to actually beat. Many try. Craving for more action just speeds up the process of enriching the casino. Fun game, though.
Koko....a thought: instead of going up on PL point winners, why not just use the PL for the parlay bet.....and use the come bet for going up. The reasoning is you might catch many come bet numbers in a row .( like I predicted will happen to you soon. ) With the PL bet win you have to start over again on a win. With the come bet you can take advantage both of short and long rolls, especially long ones. 777
Just to try to change things up, I will vary between the Pass and Come, but mostly play just the Come. Parlays definitely work better on the Pass. Sometimes they prove to be the only winners I see. Going in tomorrow afternoon. I hope you are seeing things correctly, and have seen you call things very well for me the couple of previous times you told me how things would go.
I use to be an action player, always hoping for that monster hand that would send the casino down to the basement to get more chips! That didn't work out very well for me! Now it's go for the smaller wins and be happy on the drive home 9 out of 10 times. All I have to do now is figure out how to walk by the VP machines on the way out the door!
Nice article.......completely entertaining as well as encouraging for the new players. I must say, winning in casinos is the biggest achievement. Hopefully, I will also get the chance of winning some amazing prizes and become the smartest casino player ever......keep sharing. روليت
