Planet Hollywood Casino Laying the 10 for $60 Dealer ask for $2 vig I asked him you don't round down? Dealer says no. I asked boxman. He's say they never round down vig in Vegas. Is this true?
I can’t speak to the Vegas policy on lay bets. I was able to find sufficient reasons to not visit Vegas anymore. I’m happy to report that they’re doing just fine without me. The place went from a town where I usually ate for free, or if I had to pay it was very reasonable, to a place where I had to pay to park, pay outrageous fees on top of my room rate, 6:5 blackjack . . . When I play lay bets, I usually play $200 behind. 40-30-30-30-30-40. I’m sure I’ve played this in Vegas. I must have. I’ve made that bet all over the country. The vig is almost always $6. But sometimes I’ve encountered morons who want to charge $7, they’re logic being that the $30 no six and $30 no eight amount to a single bet that returns $50, and their cutoff is $39. My argument has been,”If you charge me three bucks for those two bets, how much are you going to refund me if I decide to take one of them down?” I’ve had marginal success with that. At the end of the day, it’s their game and they can pretty much do what they want. My only recourse is to vote with my asshole, and if I don’t like this game I take my asshole to another casino.
