You got it, Liman. Anytime. Hope all goes well with surgery. I’ve got some nice trails for us. Nothing too crazy. Flat surfaces, great views.
The unloading and loading the car, unpacking and packing constantly,we have to put the top down to get luggage out and then lower top so I can fling the suitcases over the side of car onto folded down back seats Tiny trunk is full of other things Eating out every single meal gets old
Ya know, I've spent quite a bit of time traveling through the Mojave, and the Nevada deserts, and I don't ever remember seeing anybody hiking.
Glad you and Mrs are home safe....from what I read and pictures you posted looks like it was a fun trip...but your right "there's no place like home, there's no place like home"
2 of the days we were in new Orleans, (we stayed on N Rampart st in hotel) we walked down Iberville to mahoneys pub to eat lunch , maybe one day was an early dinner. We just liked the place, it was just about closest food place to hotel....we were 3 blocks off bourbon. my wife wanted to go a different route because the fucking crane on the building made her nervous. so is that premonition, the fucking building(hard rock) collapsed 2-3 weeks later, right where we were walking. its all about timing. weird how she told me both times, lets walk back to bourbon and go back to hotel with another street.
When I had a day job I got transferred to California's bay area for a couple years. Got transferred back to Idaho six weeks before the World Series earthquake.
earthquakes are tough. I had a sales clerk in my store, started in high school, went to college and got a job with (forgive me if Im wrong with initials) BART the bay area rapid transit system out in California. after a few years he saved enough to buy a small ranch in Oakland and that's when that big earthquake hit, and his house just fell to the ground , not even a year after he purchased it, kid worked hard for everything. he rebuilt, and was doing exceptionally well , so all is good
were already looking at first week in November, like the 4th thru 7th or 8th, for a quick casino getaway. thinking Mohegan sun Pocono or/and dellago in waterloo ny. foxwoods and Mohegan sun conn are great also, not sure about the prices though.
pays to have my glasses on, the prices on foxwoods were for total stay, not single night, thought it was outrageous.
no second thoughts, I see the new surgeon next Friday. due to the cortisone shot I received in my back the day before I left for tunica, I doubt he will do surgery at least till mid-late December. Ill set it all up, but most of November is free, and Id like to squeeze in a few more casino visits within 3-4 hours before the snow comes up here.
