I am going to have to disagree, though like you I question my judgement for entering this quagmire. I too have tired of the Hall/Liman -- come to think of it, make that Hall/anybody -- exchanges to the point of taking action to avoid having to put up with them. Nevertheless, in Liman's defense I must call your attention to his trip reports, complete with pictorial supplements of his descriptions of his destination's environment. Living in the Northwest I personally have little interest, at least now that I am retired and no longer travel extensively, in his detailed "travel logs", but it is obvious from others' responses to them that they are not completely without value, and I am always up for an "I socked it to 'em" report. Decry if you must the food fights, but confine your discussion of them to what's happening in the kitchen.
If you find value in 24/7 posts of "I can, you can't, na na na na nah...." and.... "LTWOQ" and you some how think these words (24/7, no less) "helps" players... Then by all means...keep reading 'em. I see it differently...I'll suggest just about all here do as well. It is, as they say...SHIT talk. Worthless, craps wise. Worthless altogether. As you say..."useless nonsense". Childish bullshit...all the worse coming from an 80 year old man. Carry on.
there may not be much in travel reports for most, but sometimes little things can be picked up, example. when the casino is most crowded, which casino allows 345, 5 or 10 times odds. decent places to eat, hotel description........casino description(although most are similar), dealer attitudes, too hot or which type of patrons, craps is craps, anyone trying to glorify the game by claiming they know the winning secrets are full of shit. I only put the session win or losses in as just hey, this happened. Ill keep my trips to myself, it doesn't bother me. Less effort here.
I really like reading your trip reports. Most detailed, soup to nuts. Pictures, etc...and you run the gamut from the gaming, the casino, the room, the food...and everything else. I don't keep up with casinos other than what's happening here. Your trip reports give a fantastic window to outside Vegas, Biloxi, Tunica destinations. Personally...I look forward to your reports.
That is why I enjoy trip reports. We had never been to Fiesta Henderson because we assumed it would be a dive. We went a couple times last year due to your honest trip reports about the place.

The was definitely not my intent. If I ever do get back to your bailiwick it will not be just a day trip so I will indeed be interested in accommodations, etc. as well as what to expect in the pit. The kind of reports I find completely dull are blow-by-blow, roll-by-roll accounts of sessions where nothing out of the ordinary happens.
