These are nice thoughts....but sadly, I don't put much, if any credence in the idea that $300,000 can be earned thru craps play as if it's a yearly paycheck. A high roller may play a few times and have a good year. Certainly can happen. Can or is it or will it be expected to happen for MP, Bonethrower, Dom, Frank et al?....year in, year out? Again, I don't much credence in it....and it’s not from a “casino won’t let” them standpoint. It just can’t be expected to be done based on the design of the game. That's a different story. It boggles my mind sometimes...but there is a monetization of YouTube and gambling channels. The slot players do it. These guys are hawking for subscribers like mad. More subscribers, more money.
Now, you KNOW that I was being Sarcastic. A person would be hard-pressed to consistently make $5,000 per year playing craps. The key word is " Consistently".........as a source of income. Can a person have a few lucky years? Absolutely!! Paying your bills, & living " THE LIFESTYLE" from playing Craps? NO!!!!!!! Excluding James Hall, of course. Lol
Remind me Top, next time we meet, to pay you for all the disparaging things you say about di. Gotta love it. Next thing you know G, will be wanting Heavy to have a wing ding at his place!
Sure.... It's a tough game, top. Anyone telling me different....I don't put too much stock in that statement. Wish it was different. $5,000? With a big bankroll, one might be able to formulate a gambling strategy to make $5,000 year over year.....for a while....but there's going to be a big if in that one could lose many times the $5,000 if things don't go right. And, I'm talking one session not going right. Marty's are dangerous. 3 days ago....worst dice I've seen in ~2 years. 2 days ago....best dice I've seen in ~2 years. Wild, wacky game. If someone tells me they can avoid or mitigate the former and take full advantage of the latter...good luck. Wish it wasn't so...because, personally.....I would be taking the path that Mssthis noted, logging as much time as possible to make as much as I can. You no like money? I do.
Yep: Even if you do happen to have the skill to have say a 10% advantage, which I feel doesn't exist, you will still have major ups and downs due to variance. A few years ago I had 20 minutes to burn in Vegas before leaving to catch my flight. Played a $100 double deck game with multiple high positive count opportunities and I still lost 4K in 20 minutes. Craps is the same. Even if you have a toss good enough and know what your advantage is to make money, you're still going to have days where nothing goes right. If you aren't betting large denom chips you aren't going to make enough to feed the cats, let alone provide a consistent living for your family over the long term.
Personally, there are times when the dice go so well that I'm thinking to myself a day or 2 later...."why not again"? I'm sure others have those same thoughts. You get drawn in. "This isn't that difficult a game". Then you get a baseball bat to the temple. Brings you right around, IMO. At least me. I'm not talking from a money perspective but rather how bad (and good) the dice can go (results). Nope, sorry...I have no pre conceived ideas that someone can run all over this town and scratch out consistent wins...$5,000....$10,000/year. A player can surely have a good year or 2 playing regularly and even net positive over 75-100 sessions is possible. Relying on it happening? Nope. If there happens to be that guy....wonderful for him. Based on what I've witnessed.....and not for a session or 2 (hell, I've put together many straight session wins)....but overall, regular play as if it was akin to a job? Nope. Net positive?....not to rain on anyone's parade, but I do agree with the idea that your best chance is lowest house edge bets. Of course someone may hit a bonus bet early on and have a nice buffer for many sessions going forward. Then again, all conjecture on my part...but, I've been out here long enough to see what I consider reality. Winning isn't necessarily the problem. Winning over and over to ensure green by end of year is the problem. The bills wait for no one. Good luck to all.
In reference to my disparaging remarks towards Dice Influencing.......Sometimes the Truth is stranger than fiction!!!!! Regarding Heavy participating in a " Wing Ding" at G's palace......Ain't gonna happen. Heavy's motto has always been: If it don't make dollars ($$$$), it don't make cents (sense). Hope my disparaging comments aren't affecting your abilities to consistently lift money from the tables. Continued Success!!!
Winning money over a long period of time is possible Some people are lucky Between 1982 and 1984 then again early 90's I cleaned up I was a 25 -50 dollar min bet player and was treated like a king first in Bally's ac then taj in ac Of course the years in between were disastrous compared to those I remember my first big losing night Early 1985 my ex partner who has never been in a casino wanted me to take him so he can have the experience He was a writer and there was a chapter in a book he was writing where someone went to casino I took him he observes I got slaughtered Bad night he couldn't believe it Prolly not a good thing to show a partner I lost big gambling
Well, what can I say? G is actually a good guy. Can't say enough good things about him. He taught me a few things, especially that Helicopter toss that I was initially doing TOTALLY wrong. Will be on a cruise ( Hooray....FINALLY getting a break away from Mom) with the wife from Sept 7th- Sept 14th, so I'll get to play Craps for the FIRST time in a long while. Hopefully, I can hit em up for a " lick", or two. My last Cruise was a whopping $85 loss, so I can't complain. Lol Hope things are going good on your end.
Awesome! Over the next couple weeks my wife will be looking for those screens to pop up on her favorite machines in LV, some are at RR. So I hope when they pay they give her 100K for 4000 coins like they mention above the picture.
tt, Keep an eye out for those 1 ~ 6 hits, on Dark Red Dice. The last two Cruises that I was on these were used during the week, with Fair Dice on the First & Last Day of the Cruise. eagleeye2
It's a nice payday. Granted, this player was betting $125.00/hand...Nevertheless, the player caught a big payout. Kudos. The hand pays I see most often are on video poker. There is a regular player there and it's not uncommon to see her get 2-3 hand pays per session.
Seen this repeat more often then not. So rule #17: Don’t bet on a shooter with SO standing by that normally does not.
