All I got was it's going to be worth it in the end Surgeon mentioned beforehand it could be anywhere from 10-12 months till totally pain free
Hang in there Liman...making a pen from your bone would of been cool when my pops had his first cancer surgery they told him they were gonna remove his gall bladder due to stones he (my dad) asked if they would save the stones for his grandson (our oldest son) at the time he was into rocks and dinosaurs the doctors put the stones in a zip lock sandwich bag when I went to visit him he showed me the bag I get a chuckle every time I think of this
Hoping you can get out quick enough. Surgery is a trauma to the body....whatever that surgery is. It never seems to be as quick and painless as its explained. Maybe that's done on purpose.
That's the thing about having surgery that most people (including me) don't realize. The procedure, itself, is a cakewalk. It's the aftermath, the goddam pain. I sincerely hope that after you've healed, that that's IT. No more pain. I write from experience.
after I stopped feeling sorry for my situation, and got busy today with therapy, Im feeling and doing much better. I got a therapist who understands me and knows what I want and has set goals for me. Im upstairs in my own bedroom tonight, I haven't taken any narcotics since this afternoon and still feel no worse, just some pain, which I can deal with going to bed. I will be back searching out those DI shooters with the golden touch. my new name is timex, I take a lickin but keep on tickin. (although pain is unfucking believable in beginning)
How about watching the NY Giants? That should be suitably painful so you might just forget about the knee for a while. Or better yet, eat a slice of that cardboard & ketchup and in @30 minutes you're stomach will be churning... Hang in there, Liman. Better days are definitely ahead.
yeah, yeah, yeah, Chicago pizza, yeah, yeah yeah, ny has more Italians than any other state and this is where they brought in the recipe, Chicago pizza, is an abomination of the true Italian pizza, don't get me wrong, the pizza cake I ate while there is fun, tasty, good, but its cake, not real pizza. now, even I don't watch the giants anymore, but it was painful to watch the jets destroy Pittsburgh's shot at playoffs(well, maybe they still have a shot, but losing to the jets?)
Due to the heavy swelling of the upper leg doc sent me right over to lab today to check for blood clot Tech says it looks good but I'll wait for radiologist report from doc
I requested one of the surgical assistants use my phone to take various pics of the surgery doctor would not allow it I thought it would be cool to see a part of me sliced open and then repaired
This is Barney Mr Limon, the LID said he saw show on internet that said when you start to gets up and around that they have dick chiropractors in the south that can helps in rehabilitation process.
I hit 2 weeks of recovery today. summing it up, Im still fucking miserable. and that's exactly how the surgeon will hear my opinion when he asks me tomorrow when he removes the staples. fucking miserable. I listened to all the hoopla around this type of surgery, and I disregarded it because Im a fast healer, always have been, after back surgery, doc recommended I take 3-6 months off from work to fully recover, I was back to work in 10 days feeling fine, same with other surgeries. I figured I will have stiffness and pain for a while, but nothing like this. Im disgusted I chose to go thru with this. I might have been able to hobble along with my brace on for years and years before the pain became unbearable. Im not a patient person.
My advice to you is to listen and follow your PT instruction.......sometimes things take a while.....don't fuck it up more by over-extending yourself......it's probably the worse thing you can do......sorry about your situation. 777
Hopefully he'll have a good looking tomato remove the staples and take an x-ray of the hardware then stop in to say hello. I was back to work on crutches after missing only 7 days. Hang in there Liman. Keep doing those press downs and heel slides. If you have a treadmill at home, walk backwards on thing as much as you can. You remember all the bullshit before the surgery. Trust me, you will do fine, just keep working at the straightening it out and bending it. Doesn't the circulating ice help with the pain? Did you get your card to use at the airport? Do without those percocets if you can. 500 mg tylenol then 600 mg ibuprofen 15 min later works just as well.
