Only way a hop bet system is going to be a long term winner is if you can find dealers like the ones arrested at the Bellago that will past post late hop bets. If you're still trying the 5/9 hop progression, how many rolls without a 5 or 9 is a wipeout for you? Looking at my old files once every 1000 rolls on average it had 22 rolls or more without a 5 or 9. 193,000 roll sample. If you feel you can influence the dice, hops are even more of a fools folly. You'll make more money with less volatility over time by sticking to bets with as low of HA as possible. If you're just playing for fun, knock yourself out. When I play for fun I put the money I didn't spend on hops in $5 slot. You'd have to be influencing the dice by 10% minimum, to make hops a better choice than a $1 or higher slot machine.
Why are people looking for money? Auh, Dave, have you ever tried to live without money? Believe me when I tell you, it does not work. It's not just the obvious stuff, like eating, and having a place to sleep, and bathe, but there is always some scumbag, like you know who,(tdvages) trying to kick you in the balls, or run you over, because he knows you don't have the money to sue him. If somebody is dumb enough to fall for something like a "sure fire gambling system", you can't help them.
I am along ways down the river from my 5/9 hopping progression. At the time, I had built up a 20K stake willing to put it on the line. Difficult system to execute; and many pointed out the cons more than the pros. Yes, I have put into action other hopping system(aka 3-way SEVEN) w/ great promise but hit my buy-in ceiling and busted me out. So, luck is part of this strategy; and my luck held up until I moved on. If you feel YOUR hard earned $$$$ are properly invested in todays slots vs a hop bet at the craps table, than I certainly am not the one who is going to change the mind of the old school craps player... And I love the old timers. They were the few that taught me the game pitching dimes and quarters at the RailRoad Pass a million years ago Thank you for the SIM info. Always a hound for roll data now days.
The problem with any test that shows influence for, say, 3,000 “previous” rolls....is that it must be replicated for the next 3,000 rolls to be useful. This is what sets DI apart from card counting. The mathematical methodology for card counting does apply for the future. I’m not so sure it does for DI. With cards, it can also be determined within a shoe of cards. If someone’s influence number is 7 (can roll more or less of them)....over 3,000 rolls, 500 is the expected. What’s the over/under on 500 in order to declare influence, not luck?
tdv Laughing....................not in a million years will i start this nonsense with you again, i will just say the difference between (dice control) and ( influence) is simple TDB
You would have to read “Wong on Dice”. Think you would like it. When Mike Shakelford got taken to the cleaners!
I didn’t realise you guys had already touched on this topic when I mentioned “house money” yesterday. I’m embarrassed to admit that’s the first time I’ve read a Duck comment that I concur with.
