My buddy that we've travelled with many times to Bethlehem to gamble came down with covid He got his first vaccine shot and started to feel ill 2'days later and everyone told him it might be side effects of shot Doc sent him for test It's been almost 4 weeks and although his fever is gone he can't shake the cough That's troubling His wife was ill covid also but within a week she felt fine His dad 93 got it most likely from them and has been in covid ward in hospital since my wife's good friend of 30 years who lost her husband last year(not covid) was in hospital for over 2 weeks with covid and got home this week She's weak but getting stronger 2 of my daughters friends tested positive They were sick with flu like symptoms but recovered fully by last week my next door neighbor told me half of her patients had covid over the past 6 months She's a nurse coordinator but works from home doing what I don't know but I think she handles all the home nursing problems seems like it all over Long Island lately scary I'm glad I never did anything and got my shots may buddy travelled to Florida a month ago and always went out to restaurants thru out the pandemic Seems like no one could escape it
His father died this morning He refused to use ventilator to prolong misery and the inevitable He had a dnr order I hope I have a good long life like he did I really expected him to recover
I feel obligated to go to wake but I'm reluctant since both of them just had covid I don't know what protocol funeral homes have these days
My Grand Nephew was killed in a auto accident on Feb 13th in Hattiesburg MS. More then 1000 people came to his service. Not reading any news of a breakout.
we left the wake and decided to pick up something for dinner for later we went to a kosher deli. I walked into the deli without my mask on....just forgot....the place was packed.....passover ordering....dinnertime.....not one person said anything to me.....my wife said its because Im big....and people would be afraid to say anything....the counterman finally said...sir....you need a face covering......shit....I apologized and told him out loud...so the other customers would hear.....Im sorry, bad day...but I have my vaccine card........something Id never thought Id say...... I saw on news just this moirning, people who died from covid families were getting up to 9000 dollars to cover funerals...made no mention of financial situation.....so I mentioned it to my buddy today....he told me funeral cost 23 thousand dollars.....WHAT!!!!!!!! holy shit.

Got my Moderna part II on Wednesday. I started feeling lousy about 30 hours later. Fever, muscle aches, weak, tired, sleepy. Nasty gas and bathroom. Too much info? Lasted about 15 hours. Good as new now. I feel great. So, it's working. I had no reaction to part I. Two weeks and I'm good to go. Start the countdown.
Stats by continent. How much more contagious are the new variants that cases are now exceeding the number of vaccines? Will North America see a similar spike as Europe, Asia and South America? Increasing R naught despite all of the vaccinations. I'm thinking that we will be getting annual Covid boosters for years to come. This isn't likely to persuade any of the thirty percenters who are currently refusing the needle.

Why would they destroy it? They'll need the next mutations, to finish the job. They know, where it came from, and they know why it "came". Even trump, didn't want to respond, as required, because you can't actually win. What we can do, is an economic war, but, it will be very difficult. Do NOT buy ANYTHING made in China, period!
