she is, she fought for my son's life too, they wanted her to have an abortion so that they could start cancer treatments, she had other plans.... She made it, my son is 24 now.
So many people fighting their own personal battles, I am glad most of them have positive outcomes! A human side, I think that is a good thing! May the positive outcomes continue!
Yes, is all I'm going to say and that all dice are not created equal, the rest of the guys that have dealt with Linaway can tell you what they think. I've been dealing with him now for years and always say I can't put down in words what I know about the dice but he can along with his son that is the math genius in his family! Between the two of them, they know more about the dice than anybody else, now let the others on this board that have been following what he has to say chirp in!
I think the machines started appearing out here about 3-4 years ago...maybe a bit longer. I didn't play them initially. The push the button voice..I've all but drowned out.
And yet none of them even heard of a Kelly type progression on betting as an AP... It was the random rollers that brought it up as a viable and lucrative strategy to maximize AP play. Perplexing...to say the least.
Kelly only works when you have a positive expectation, where you have some edge (Card Counting, positive Play VP, etc.) over the casino. There is also the 4% rule that if used properly will ensure you never run out of money. However, if you have no Advantage Play, then none of these investment tools will help you. Assuming you have AP with out validation is not only foolish, but out right stupid! DI is NOT ADVANTAGE PLAY despite how much you want to believe it is so.
Well, then what you are saying is they have no validation for their claim on DI. It's just a "I think"....or "I hope". Not "I know".
That is where you are wrong the Kelly type progression is in a few of DI books! Hell, it' even in the great fiction writers book. The Mad Professor's Crapshooting Bible, right there on page 190. Just in case, you don't know what it is, here is a quote from his book. Also, it been brought up many times in the DI boards, maybe you should read some stuff on it before just running off at the mouth! You try to make out like everybody is a loser that is playing craps and when looking at you, you only have the skill set to play the pass line for $1 on the bubble craps machine. My, My, My TDVegas it just goes to show how much you know about what you are writing! You see TDVegas I've even read the great fiction writers book and by the way even gave you the page # where you could find it at, something that you don't do when you're are writing about anybody's work!
I never heard one single player on THIS board mention, talk or use a Kelly strategy in their play. I don't belong to other boards. If you can point me to a post when one of the DI's here---you, Harley, et al discussed and employed it as part of their play, then I'll note it.
Does TD stand for Terrible Disaster? Walking Mr. Negative, must of come from all foul baseline serve bouncing off your head. Is it no wonder your tennis career came tumbling down, you make John McEnroe look like a comedian. Maybe you should use the Kelly strategy while you are on the Bubble. Watch out TD, incoming, more foul balls.
its really getting old the constant belittling of the way TD bets a dollar on the pass line and plays the bubble. My guess is, he had more success at craps than 95% of the board members, here, or on any other board. I respect him because the mentioning of his play or the fact that he usually plays the bubble is a constant point other posters seem to harp on, like they are better than him because they play 5 dollar tables, yet, it doesn't get a rise out of him. people on this board are living in fantasy land thinking playing the bubble is any less risky than a live table. or that its any less of a game than a live table. it took me time to realize that most people here have agendas. if theres no way to profit or steer someone towards their way of thinking, whether that directly or indirectly represents someone or something down the line that could gain profit, they will knock it till the end of time. Im also willing to bet TD vegas has forgotten more about craps than 95% of the people here will ever learn or know. amazing, how other people count his money and attack him for only wanting to play dollar craps. btw, Im not defending td, he doesn't need any allies. I think his knowledge of this game and his common sense and intelligence intimidates a lot of people.
You're a good man, Liman. I've always respected and admired your attitude toward the game. Your honesty and integrity is top notch.
I hope I get to meet you in November, as I think Ill be making my annual trip to vegas. Either sunset station or Green Valley? (the other station casino resort, red rock wants too much dough)
You two would get along great, might not be a lot of craps conversation, but probably personal interests would be the main topics of conversation. I think the only time we mentioned craps was while we were playing the bubble together, and that was just mostly high 5'ing. TDV's rolls!
