What a great accomplishment. Finally, total agreement regarding Dice Influence issues. If this can happen truly Trump will win tomorrow...

I for one do not see why anyone would not post truthfully.I. have always given people the benefit of the doubt.Maybe people are too jaded or just jealous.
Case in point Big Ben hit a 6 point Fire Bet. I put up a thread congratulating him on his achievement. You think these " heroes" would join in? ,Too jealous I guess.

    BINGO!!

    EXACTLY CORRECT!

as has been stated from the get-go the bohunk challenge---win or lose---will mean nothing...prove nothing...

    "....no proof...no meaning...no skill...no luck...no 3v set...no bouncy table...no belief...no technique...no theories...no mother's maiden name...no excuses...no ballerina toss...no braggadocio...no shit...there is ONLY DO..." has become damn near a mantra...well, i guess there IS money also...

absolutely right, garg! in addition to...well...obviously...no real confidence in their purported skills you have nailed it "exactly why no DI will take your BS challenge"!

a good majority of DIers are looking for affirmation, for acknowledgement of their skills and talent...you are 110% correct: the bohunk challenge would provide none of that...winning it would indeed be dismissed as luck...

i know, i know, i know, i know, you "don't care" whether anyone believes you or not regarding your great skill at beating the game of casino bank craps...you do not need affirmation or acknowledgment...uh huh...you are comfortable in your own skin just knowing for yourself what you are capable of and what you are doing and that you are winning...and could give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks...

...and i am not being facetious or sarcastic in the least when i say that you are not lying...you have genuinely, honestly & sincerely convinced yourself of the capabilities you claim and of your winning ways...

such sensibility is a commonplace aspect of the DI delusion...ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, ok,OKAY!!!! now don't get your undies in a bunch, don't go off half-cocked over one word in a fucking 500 word post! i mean "delusion" in a good way...

although many, especially DI skeptics, disagree with me in this, as i have often said, DI delusions are a good thing...first and foremost unlike much--maybe most-- delusional thinking, DI delusions do absolutely no harm...but more than that they offer seemingly great fun to a great many...and FUN IS GOOD...further it enhances the popularity of the game, keeping the declining numbers of tables hanging on and alive, a thing in which i personally have a vested interest, wanting to continue finding a game when i am so inclined...

    ----------------------------------------------------

obviously, garg, it goes without saying that you are in complete control of the content of your posts and in complete control of the frequency of them.

    but what you are
not in control of is how they are perceived by others, perceived by those who read them

when you frequently put forth your skills and your great winning ways at bank craps and then further protest that you do not care whether anyone believes you, that it is enough that you yourself know, it is not irrational in the least that, correctly or incorrectly, some might perceive it as, have the opinion as, "well, gosh...gee...i think it does matter to him that peoples believe him...that he wants a few chops..."

delusions aside, when you say that it matters not to you what others think of your attributes, it might be the complete, absolute, totally unvarnished TRUTH...

BUT---ok, come on now, be brutally honest with yourself---you have to admit that some just might perceive it otherwise and believe that you actually do care what others think about it.

that some might think that is totally understandable and quite human-like.

Maybe some are; maybe some are not. Counter Point: Maybe your DI buddy James Hall could enlighten you as to why some DIs would not post truthfully. Ask him about his dishonest post and picture of chips claiming he had a huge win in a Harrahs New Mexico Casino that don't exist. He's just a jealous DI wannabe I guess.

Cmon Davey...DI James Hall was caught red handed in a fabrication that rivals the boy who cried wolf..

Wasn't Harley also caught with a dated Christmas chip tree pic..about 2 years old?

There have been other questionable claims on SRR, win rates, etc...and while no one is saying lie, questionable is a word we can use.

Well wannabe, if telling of fairy tale wins and posting pictures of chips is your idea of a winner, then, sir, you are a grand winning champion. A perfect paragon for all DI to emulate? Ha!

There's that selective memory in action once again. Little wonder you talk only of your three wins over and over again add nausea. How long has it been? Step up to the Bohunck plate or are you just another "has been" that caught a couple lucky rolls ages ago and can't repeat?

Unlike you, I will be TAKING the Bohunk challenge. I have no fear. Win or lose...I will step up and go for it.

You can't. You won't. Part of credibility is backing up your words. I make no claims on influence but I WILL step up and take the challenge. I am going to take the Bohunk 6----going for 60 - 6's over 360 rolls. NO lookie Lou's. You want to watch?...you take the challenge. This isn't some show with free passes doled out. Get your wallet out...Cobwebs and all.

You are the little engine that couldn't.

You're scared, James. Just scared. Scared of failure. I have NO fear. None.

    Run, James, run.

Yes, they should know their advantage, but that would be an overall advantage, which I gather from remarks using words like "fleeting" and phrases like "not always win" is not necessarily their advantage at a specific session.
So "there is no need to increase one's bet" (per the red sentence) but "increasing ones bet as a DI should involve a Kelly type progression" (per the green sentence). What am I missing here?

Be that as it may, the DI's funds will still swell and shrink, and if they shrink, or fail to swell at the "prescribed" rate, it could be cause for some anxiety. Thoughts like, "Maybe today isn't my day," may occur and create a downward spiral at an increasing rate of decline. (Of course the iron-willed DI will simply pack it up under these circumstances, accepting what the table has given to or taken from him/her, and a Kelly progression does have a built-in regression.)
Certainly a DI's level of confidence will affect his/her susceptibility to an influence-diminishing anxiety attack, but I suggest a more general explanation for such an attack is the disparity between actual and pre-session projected results. Worst case: "OMG, maybe I'm not a real DI after all !"
The legendary Mason and I stepped into the ring for a few rounds over this subject in The Before Time. He was fond of quoting Stevie Wonder's lyrics, "When you believe in things you don't understand you can suffer." My counter was that so long as you acknowledge that your "superstition" is just that, a superstition and not a proven fact, and do not use it as a basis for over-betting, you will not be harmed. One of those rounds can be found in the thread "What Could Hurt You?"

I was referring to a "session", then asses your bankroll, and adjust the next session up or down depending on the previous win or loss.

One could do that as each bet resolved, but probably beyond some DI's capabilities to compute that in real time.

But shouldn't they play to their "known" overall advantage on a continuing basis. Anything else would seem to be guess work to me?

If one has an SRR that indicates an advantage on a certain betting strategy....bet that strategy, all the time!

It could be specific to certain numbers....place bets. Or it could be to all other numbers....iron cross or similar.

I just don't understand how it could be an "unknown" and still be called DI.
