I was the 12 away from making the Big Feature Bet at the Wynn ( $2 bet would have paid at 176 to 1) I wonder if I could have layed the 12 as a hedge against 7ing out
No, you cannot lay the 12... at least not in the way I think you're asking. Can you explain the Big Feature Bet? Maybe there's a different kind of hedge available.
My guess is that the Big Feature Bet is the same as the All Bet, namely that every number will be thrown during a hand. As for laying the 12, you could do that on a Crapless Craps table, but not on a standard table.
Harringtons in Delaware had one of these tables that had the 11 and 12 on it which where available for a lay bet but the payout was super low. But I think it could be used for a quick hedge bet run of a few numbers to lay 3000 to win 300. but it would have to be a quick strike bet because the longer you have that 3k riding the closer you come to getting the hammer dropped on you.
This has to be a different bet. The A-T-S usually pays 175 for 1 for making all the numbers. Again I hope the OP explains this bet. Edit: Obviously the OP has changed the odds and he stands corrected. (Still not sure if it's 176)
I have yet to play Crapless Craps, but by all accounts the payouts on all lay bets, including those on the horn numbers, are at true odds with vigorish charged on the potential win. So, no-3 and no-11 pay 1:3; no-2 and no-12 pay 1:6.
Come on BS! Six ways to make a 7. One way to make a 12. So 6 to 1 payoff on the buy 12 minus vig and 1 to 6 payoff on the lay 12. For example laying the 12 for $120 would get you $19 after the buck vig. Such a deal!
BS: Son, ya gotta get down to Tunica where breakage is at $35. Therefore a $35 12 or 2 pays $209 after the $1 vig. Whatever that works out to, it makes the ev of 1.52% on the 6/8 look like a crazy crapper bet!!!
