Listen.....the discussions/arguments that I have with James is....just to pass the time. Just something to do. Do you REALLY think that what is said between James, & myself carries over to when we are in the Casinos? Do you think that his advice or opinion is gonna affect the way that I toss, bet, or play the game? Here's something for ya, & I kinda hate to say this, because it's considered " Chest Thumping". My last loss at craps ( and this was playing on a cruise ship) was $85. I don't get to the Casinos nearly as much as I'd like, but I've had only a $85 loss in my last 10-15 casino visits. Every time that you step up to a table....things are different, & regardless of the bullshit that James spews.....YOU know from experience that what I say is true. A person might buy-in to a table thinking their gonna use a certain toss, but come to find that it just won't work at that particular table, so either you have to modify something, or go to a different toss. The game of craps requires " Adjustments". If you cannot adapt, you won't win. When everything fails....ya gotta know how to only lose a little bit, while you're trying to make adjustments, so that ya don't decimate your bankroll. The bottom line is this....you pick little things up ( if you're smart) along your Craps journey. I've learned a TON of things from Linaway that rings true, no matter how " spaced out", weird, or " different" that others think Linaway may be. Fortunately for me....everything that I've picked up over the years can be verified or discarded right in the comfort of my home.....free of charge. Owning a table allows for plenty of experimentation. I've picked up things from Rick over the years. Picked up a TON of things from ( G). Rick, & Linaway were the first guys to show me WHY dice don't really stay On Axis like the schools teach. YOU know about true on Axis, & faces in the tossing plane as a end result of a toss. The Top numbers are what pays us in the Casinos , & some people don't give a shit about true On Axis, & that's fine by me. The problem with this forum is that one cannot " push" their belief, or way of playing upon others. What's good for one person, might be Venom for the next person. You know yourself that there are times when your baseline toss ain't working, & you might have to go to another toss altogether. The schools teach you to stick to one toss, & if it's not working, it's your grip. They never think it could be the Dice Set that you are using, or it could be where you are landing your dice. They never think that the toss you are using is MAYBE just not conducive to the equipment you are playing on. Some people say....well I only play on the tables that fit my toss. Well.....you know that's bullshit too, because regardless....even if you play on your FAVORITE table, day in, & day out.....your mechanics are not quite the same every day. It only takes slight defect in your mechanics to cause errant releases. Ya see Billy, you can't get " caught up" into what people say on this forum. Only YOU know what you do in the Casinos. THAT'S what REALLY matters, & NOT some guy saying that you can't do this, can't do that, or you are a loser. You've been playing this game long enough, & played with enough good shooters to know " bullshit" that some people spew on this forum. It's only fitting to want to attach to people on this forum that are as like-minded as you are. I don't necessarily agree with that approach, but I understand. With THAT being said, & also playing with aaallllll of the good players that you've played with, isn't it only REASONABLE to know when guys are blowing smoke ? Having a positive attitude, knowing that YOU can win is a far cry than defending some of the " Tall tales" that you hear on this forum. Ya just gotta do " Your thing", don't worry about what others say/do, & remain cognizant that some people simply want to do things their way. How much money you are winning or losing is more important than what others have to say about you. When people say things like: they know you are bleeding money by the things that you post, & YOU know it aint true..why get upset? It really doesn't matter, does it? If I wasnt " house restricted" because of caring for my 82year old Mom ( I have no siblings) ....I'd be at a Casino, or shooting pool EVERY chance that I get. This OPEN FORUM is only a past time for me. The REAL learning is from practicing at home, & from playing in the Casinos. Truth be told, being " CASINO TOUGH" beats practicing at home every day of the week. Playing for REAL money is what separates the men from the boys. Kinda reminds me of a old time pool player named Mike Eufema. The guy could run HUNDREDS while practicing, but AS SOON as he bet more than $20...he couldn't run 20 balls. Lol Ya gotta be Casino tough, & have experience playing on different surfaces to know which surface best fits YOUR toss. Kinda feel like I'm preaching to the choir. Top You and I play about the same I bet, and I would imagine for every 100 hours of time I put into my table you have put into yours. Forty years is a long time to do anything, and whether you like it or not, the game of craps is part of our life. You also understand when you get 70-80 years under your belt your a little set in your ways.. you are and I am. Billy its not about trashing people. It's simply about existing in the real world. Ya see....when you give advice about Dice Influencing, & how to win....it has to be well grounded, & YOU know THAT!!!! None of the guys that you have played with gives the advice that James gives, or does what James claims to do. There's a world of difference between having confidence & spewing nonsense. At some point in time, SOMEONE has to use common sense, & end the same shit that's being re-hashed day in, & day out. You don't win. Yes I do. You have no confidence. Yes I do. One interesting thing I notice is a lot of di shooters refer to craps players as good players I'll never lose more or win less than any di shooter at any table where I play with them I've yet to meet a di shooter who can throw dice with any consistency I'm guesssing they are all di closet shooters? But we are lucky we have James hall here who tells us all 100 times a day just how easy it is to use the casino as a personal atm
Top here is my common sense,,,, I spent all day with a 37 year old family member that is screwed up on drugs he cant even hold down a job, try as I might I cant help him...now that is real life, and that is a failure in real life I was not able to prevent. I think TDV is the primary fault of all the bullshit on here that led us to this point, I think James is pulling your chain just to piss you off....and it is working, just like Demango and Liman go out of their way to be ass holes to me or others. so Top where does that leave us??????? You are absolutely right! Everyone wasn't discussing beating the table freely before you got here. You are a Johnny Come Lately, Short Bussers have been displaying arrogance and bullying outsiders on this site long before you two inept pawns were recrutied. And except for the Butt Brothers Little Joe Shot Class all other DI schools were thoroughly trashed; Hell.. randies were and still are ridiculed in between just for kicks. Short Bussers believe they can only "look" good by making others look bad; they have demonstrated nothing but. It's been pointed out before and the count is climbing. Short bus rides are often short. I decided to take the high road because the conversations with James are redundant.....totally predictable. There's just never anything of substance with his conversations. Learn to win or quit. Horn that is your imagination....examples of what can be done has nothing to with one person being better than another.....I have never seen James say he was better than any other Di's I know......ever.... Now I have seen TDV compare himself to them. I personally have said many times I am much worse than the better players I know and have indicated I lose and at times have lost a lot.
