Perhaps a lot of the same old, same old. It's slowing me down a bit too.
I think "MOE" was makin good money, so 444444444444s decided to become a house "GUY".
12's and I had some differences but I liked him, and for the most part, we got along and enjoyed each others post. I miss him.
I appreciated Twelve4s sense of humor and his contributions to this forum. He presence is definitely missed. Hopefully he is well and will return now and then and let us know how things are in his part of the world.
Not to worry.....We will all be back again!
I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive.
I was a sailor. I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide.
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still.
I was a dam builder across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around..I'll always be around..and around and around and
around and around
I fly a starship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again..
Been to Harrah s lately?
Not for a month or so, taking a break to get some things in order here. How 'bout you, any luck on the road lately?
A little here and there. Sometimes just a roller coaster ride. They are putting a poker room back in over there.
Good to see you again OAP. I've been wondering about you. Glad you're still around and around and. . ...
Man, when I grow up I want to be just like OAP except for the flute gig thingy.
What's wrong with that I think James plays the skin flute.
Would have thought the flutes and "hats" might be a go together thing.
Excellent, very appropriate, "always be around" OAP
His wit and humor was indeed a asset to the forum....
This seems more appropriate as a response to you here than as a post to the classic music thread.
Thats the coolest song
I remember the 60's........very good song....I enjoyed the movie as well.
I did not know that. Did he announce a break or retiring from the forum? Or just he hasn't been around for a while?
I think many here take breaks, don't post for a while, maybe come back with a few posts or just post (less? more?) infrequently etc, etc.
This place is like breathing air....you can stop breathing for a while, but eventually you exhale.
He can't go too far...he still has a winning Super Bowl ticket to get paid on
