I didn't bring up the car thing, you guys thought it was funny to make fun of someone because of the car they drive, yeah, I drive a new Vette, you say I can't win at craps well I have been living around Vegas for ten years now, I'm not broke like you would like everybody to think, you call all of us losers even for playing craps!

Heavy, Howard and mp what's everybody to believe that I'm broke and don't know anything about craps, you want the same thing by saying we can't win at craps and like you should only be playing for the fun of it, like you say you do, hoping to win a dollar after spending hours in the stinking casino that you play at!

Did you even read my post where I said that the cars we drive don't have anything to do with playing craps?

It wasn't making fun...it was pondering a question about an AP player and ones perception of "validity". Would it affect their thinking prior to actually seeing table results. That's all.

I never said you can't win at craps. You can have winning days like everyone else. No one is using the craps table to put bread on the table. A living. That's what I've said. If people are net positive over their playing career (extremely rare, IMO)...there's a lot of luck there, not skill. I also contend that those net ahead would likely be playing low house bets and not tossing repeated money at sucker bets. If you say you are net ahead, so be it. Be happy and stop worrying about what MP (who might not even exist) says about you. Geeesh. Even if someone was net ahead over a career of play...when you factor in all their time spent at the casino, it works out to .23 cents/hour.

You're not beating the game, Richard...with some claim of being an AP player without articulating how you are doing that beyond just plain dumb luck.

Please articulate to the board how you have overcome house edge at craps. What's your method of play? What do you look for?

Again, for the record. No one here cares or equates what car you drive to your success or non success at the craps table. Stop trying to be pretentious in your thoughts.

After owning Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Jaguar......I've come to the conclusion that unless you park, cover them. and only drive them 10 miles on Sundays cars are a lot like craps games.........Negative Expectation.

My father was an A to B guy. We had cars when I was growing up that didn't have heat! A radio? You're kidding, right? Options were not in my Dad's vocabulary. He want'd the cheapest car on the lot.

I rebelled against that when I began to drive, and spent all my money on cars. That was a mistake.

So now that I've completely turned into my father, I have the same feeling about cars - point A to B.

The only reason we have a body, is to transport our brains around.....the only need for a car, is to transport our body around, the body that is transporting our brain around.

I reckon some brains like being transported around real fast, and in fancy fashion, mine use to.

    Not anymore......pick up trucks!

In the old days, you went out and bought a car to get from point A to B. You paid cash or took a loan.

Today, a lot of those driving the 60K to 80K cars are suffering with $700 monthly lease payments. They don't own the cars. This generation will be working until they are 80 trying to play catch up on their retirement accounts "because I just have to have my Lexus"...among other trappings.

I think having a nice car is a great thing. Fun. Enjoyable. Beyond that, it doesn't mean much.

I've seen big gamblers drive away in the 77 Caprice.
I've seen small gamblers drive away in a Jaguar.

Tell that to the 1.3 million people who come out on cruise day. I drive there almost every year just to experience the fun I had a s a youth driving and picking up chicks. Lost my virginity in a car ten days after getting my license.

I think it was the richest man in the world...Warren Buffet, when asked why he didn't want a Ferarri or Bentley or a Gulfstream or a 2nd or 3rd residence.

"You'll get a gigantic headache worrying about too many toys".

Ahhh TD, sometimes you are one funny person.

The oddest thing you ever posted. "I play regularly...Vegas allows for that. 100+ per year. If I was a dice influencer/controller...it would be more"
Say what? If you were a DI it would be more? But you don't believe there is such a thing as DI.

Agree with you on the Jag and Mercedes. If they aren't covered by a warranty hope you have deep pockets.

Your father must have gone to the same car buying school of thought as mine. He spend all day haggling with the dealer over stupid rubber floor mats. But come the end of the day he get his floor mats.

Couldn't agree more, and I have had my share of "fun" cars. But I think that is a thing of the past for me, maybe not. It is mostly about utility for me now....a nice pick-up to pull the RV.

Sports cars were a neat part of my "growing up", but actually, fast bikes, and agile little planes were more my first love......both of those could take you places a car just couldn't go! :)

    Not following you..

"I play regularly. Vegas allows for that"
Yes. casino is 5 minutes away. Where's the issue? What's funny?

    "100+ times a year".
Yes, give or take. Again, what's funny?

"If I was a dice influencer, it would be more"
Sure, a lot more. All over Nevada plying my skill. What's funny?

The key word being "if". Sure, I'm speaking in theoretical terms---I don't believe it's possible. Make believe. If I could predict where the roulette ball would land, I would be a RI and ply my skills all over Vegas.

I guess the idea that no one here seems to be plying their skill on a regular, everyday basis reinforces my point.

Had $10 free slot play that had to be used today or lost. Stopped into Red Rock. With 3 spins left on Buffalo, hit the bonus. 41 additional spins churned out $180. Not a bad 10 minutes.

Should have taken a picture. Buffalooooo!!!

    LOL.
if I apply that to my net losses on craps for the past 3+ years...I'm net positive in my gaming. See Rick...people can win:)
