Looks like a Chevy Crap-piece?
Looks like the car I drove while in college, although this one seems to be a newer model
If you take the color out of the picture you are able to see that the DI is really TDVegas's old friend and ringer
I'll guess 87
Well TDVegas, when I pull up in my Vette what will you have to say then, will it be sorry, I wasn't writing about you, it was about our delusional so-called DI Dave, who doesn't even know to make his bed before trying to show the world that he is a random-roller.
Sorry to say that cars are only an expression of how we feel about living, some like to live in the Fastlane others just want to make it to work every day. What I drive doesn't have anything to do with how I play craps. The only reason I let anybody into my personal life and what I drive is because of all the lies that have been told about Harley and myself.
I've heard you say if you were a so-called DI that you would be living in Las Vegas, living the dream that our so-called Delusional DI's dream about every night when they are sleeping.
Yeah, I can hear Dave's prayers every night when he goes to bed, mp give me the strength to just go to the casino sometime this month, give me the power to hit those 4's and 10's that you keep writing about!
Please, give me the power to look defeat in the eye and keep going. Please just give me one more $75 win, I promise that I won't ask for anything more if you grant me these wishes!
Hope your shot is improving. Your image took a big hit when the Hightower Chronicles came out.To be honest after your performance, why are you still here?
Your shot has a rebound almost to the stick! Set DI back to the Stone Ag
And it cant hurt.
Superrick- "cars are only an expression of how we feel about living, some like to live in the fastlane others just want to make it to work every day...ect" You hit it right on the head with the car thing! I so agree with what you are saying here! Thanks for posting.
SR & TD you both seem to be ok people, unlike my self. Both knowledgeable and good at putting thought together here on the board. Mucho good has come from the two of you and the disagreement is productive.
Neither one of you are bitches that cant control their feelings even in the face of evident personal jibs and jabs. All I would hope to see is that the differences of you two, create and not destroy.
Everyone's watching, some taking sides with their own beliefs but still respecting you both. Can you sing Kumbiya?? What key?? I cant play but for the two of you I will try.
It sounds like you want to think of yourself as "big man on campus"...
"Hey everyone, look at my Corvette I'm driving here. This means I have money to toss around and I win at gambling". After the first time, no one gives a $hit Richard.
Are you for real?
For someone in his late 60's, it's childish. Seriously, if I've heard you blab about your Corvette once...I've heard it 6,000 times. One time, great...we all love cars. Beyond that it your talk gets nauseating.
Btw, my home is bigger than your home. Not that it means anything--I play $1 craps. How bout dem apples?
Really? The guy that repeatedly calls people bitches and assholes?
Yea. Whats in a name. It has and never will define who or what I am. Or YOU.
Lovers can spew the worst insults at one another in pure hatred but it's short lived because they really do not mean it. I know you know what I mean.
The subject is what you two have in common and see things differently on exactly the same thing.
Ever seen two youths fight it out on the play ground and become best friends?? Ever done it??
It's natural. 4th grade this boy Daniel Rogers was following me after school and was gonna kick my ass for calling him a colored. He was pissed. I kept walking and went into the corner candy store and 20 kids followed us in there to see the ass whopping. Fright or fight is very real and I was scared enough to swing on him when he got in my face. Knocked him cold in the corner on the floor. I remember this like a flash of light seeing him collapsed in a heap. I RAN out the door and was afraid to see him in school the next day. He walked up to me and said you kicked my ass lets be friends. Completely blew me away. We got along for the next 10 years never forgetting his moment on the floor. Ok Story time over. Hillary's going to be indicted. Being a bitch and asshole and all. Jacob gets the beer.
I may have called his rants childish, misinformed, wrong, ridiculous....once it delves into hurling expletives, it's gone to the next level. But, that's ok. Like water over the dam, doesn't phase me.
I have no real personal animosity toward him. I think he utterly loses it at times like the Tazmanian Devil and goes ballistic--
He seems to think he's smarter than a lot of people here. Thats fine if he feels that way but those who need to announce it from the rooftop lose credibility.
I want a corvette. Had one 5 years ago, C4, but winter showed up and my wife didn't want to drive it to work so I helped her buy a Lexus ES 350. Happy wife happy life.
I will have another. C5 convertible cause the trunk can fit two sets of golf clubs. Just dumped the 2011 Malibu and bought a 2013 Explorer to pull the fishing boat. (sat last year)
Have a 70 MGB in the Garage in restore-able condition. It's gotta go before the Vette can be bought. It's a plan man. Corvettes are cool just not a priority. Could have one but the timing is not right.
I prefer Mustangs...but to each his own. They've got some beautiful GT350's on the lot today. 525 hp. Just rocket ships.
The new Corvettes are nice but I'm not sold on the rear light design. Corvettes attract an older crowd--I guess it's the nostalgia. Nothing wrong with that but I do see a lot of gomers driving them.
Eh, you guys bring a lot of these problems on yourself. Stay off their website, stop trashing them at every turn and maybe they won't beat you guys up like they do. Tell Harley that meeting with lawyers because Heavy's going out of business sale wasn't really going out of business is probably going to bring a lot of shit on him. Who the F does that?
Telling people you're an advantage craps player isn't going to help your cause either. Smart people know it's likely not true.
Stop making yourself targets with outrageous bias dice claims, casinos are out to rip you off claims and other nonsense about the industry.
yes, i have to say i agree with sr on this too...judging the content of someone's character or their intelligence or even their WORLDLY MATERIAL MEANS by the car they drive can be at best misleading and at worst dangerous: one can be easily fooled!
i have known many peoples over the years like myself for whom cars are STRICTLY a utility...that they are intended to make a statement about ANYTHING is simply a non-factor...for me gas mileage and reliability trumps everything along with just a modicum of room ---my current ("new" to me...i think i might have mentioned that my son totaled the previous version while i was overseas <sigh>), beat up, bent-up, rusted-up piece of garbage (looking) 2001 honda civic does just fine in all 3 respects...
stop here if you are nauseated by my
persistent, rambling, non-relevant blubberings
...if you are not so sickened, i am not sure why----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(actually i have vast experience with "high mileage" hondas---hell, at 217k this one is "just a tetch" past broken-in...in this experience - what? maybe 6 or 7 of 'em in the past 24 years, tho the 1992 model, a still unmatched amazement, was bought new (my ex drove that of course--& claimed it got 52mpg [yes, virginia, regular, unleaded gas, no hybrid] onna trip to michigan [from mn] once, til her business demanded more room and utility & i mostly took it over, drove it 'til 375k, gave it to a mechanically inclined, young friend [it felt real good to help out this fine young man] when the head gasket went out; who took it to wyoming and back and past 400k...the thing is when i left it, it was STILL as zippy a 5speed as i ever needed & getting better than 40mpg!...other than bone-headed episodes when i stupidly drained the battery by leaving on the lights [rare as there is an idiot alarm for that] or the keys in the ignition with the fan on, these several vehicles failed to start only once over 23 minnesota winters...i actually made a note of the thermometer on the side of the unheated [and uninsulated], detached garage that time---and for those of you under 30 and from the northern climes these instruments read actual ambient temperatures and not some phony-baloney "wind chill" or "feels like" bullshit that the media gleefully hypes to make things more dramatic than they might actually be, cf inanimate objects like automobiles might cool down at a faster rate with a wind but they cannot go below the ambient temperature! so the -29f that the instrument read was really cold, boy)...
((i assume for most civics---and for all that i have had---with with more than 200k, permanently on are the "check engine" light and red "srs" light [[meaning possibly faulty airbags: when i went to the junkyard--50,000 miles past that red light coming on--to retrieve some CDs my son left behind, i saw that both front airbags had engaged!]]...INVARIABLY ---i'm not kidding! this was the case on every one i had --- the computer code for the ce light was, paraphrasing, "check the gas cap"... if the oil change tech, always under instructions to read the computer code [[for free of course: almost unbelievably dealerships get away with charging sometimes the other side of 200 bucks to hook up that computer, a near infinite margin!]] remembered to turn it off, 14 miles down the road that ce light was back on))...
(((so when the guy from whom i bought this latest [[[looking]]] piece-of-junk started to make excuses for/to rationalize/to dance around sounding not like he was lying regarding those lit warning bulbs, i let him go on forra while for the entertainment value before telling him, "forget about it...don't worry about it"...the thing runs like a top...the thing runs like an old honda)))...
A lot of information to process tho. Interesting nevertheless.
Is that a good thing??? They used to be good cars but today the rep they enjoyed wont sell me one. Good friend is used car manager at a Honda dealer and let me drive whatever I wanted for days to let me decide. Drove about three different models and had him buy the Malibu at auction for me. Much better car for less money.
Best car I have ever sold and here she sits on the lot. Kept it so clean they just put it out on the lot without detailing it. Just raised the price $3000 over what they gave me for it.
