Very interesting reply to my comments....maybe we should send some missionaries over to save their souls. Oh, wait we did, didn't we.

The Natives of this continent? Who the heck are you talking about?

Not much value in "soles" I don't think.

Just poking fun, I know what you meant! :)

I feel for you, I only had to pony up about half of that.

Sure hate to leave this discussion right now, but I need to go shopping, ran out of the essential for life......toilet paper, beer, and cigars!

Might not really be all that essential to life....but certainly essential for participation in this thread! :)

    Trick question.

Strictly who the Europeans found living here from coast to coast. However they were not the first. They came over from Asia probably 8 thousand years ago and laid waste to who they found living here. More of that evolution you were talking about.

Wasn't it the missionaries that gave the poor cold indians, small pox infested blankets? That was certainly an act of biblical kindness....

No that was evolution. A old European trick left over from the plague days.

Well dead cats swinging is prohibited in most localities, however depending on whom one may hit all depends where you swing that cat.

What's we got here is a Jeffrey Dahmer.

I'm in poor health, and I couldn't afford to start to wither away and give up the upper hand.

So, you do not believe in the traditional creationism....the Earth is only 8,000 years old? Good!

I think it was a bit over 8,000 years ago that the Asians crossed the Bearing sea land bridge, according to some theories.

I kind of enjoy religious verbal sparring. Being somewhat agnostic, I have done some research on different religions, and cultural beliefs....maybe hoping to find something I could hang my hat on.

But since there are hundreds of different religions, and many splinter groups of the more traditional ones, it is a chore delving into all of them.

Most of them proclaim their religion is the only true religion, so I can not gather much useful information from those anecdotal accounts. But if there is only one true God, the majority of those religions must be wrong in their thinking.

If I went with the majority, I reckon the Muslims would have the upper hand, but I'm not much for majority equals being right.

The biggest problem I encounter while searching for enlightenment, is that I am hobbled by common sense, logic, and critical thinking.....it would be neat to be able to just "believe" regardless of those constraints. But I am not anywhere near that "blissful state" just yet.

I am kind of leaning toward the Native American Spiritual culture. The story of "Jumping Mouse" hits a cord with me!

I apologize if I have offended anyone's particular religion or personal beliefs, it was not my intent if I did.

But I still think many of the worlds problems are centered around the different realities various societies have in regards to religion.

I heard one guy say that his definition of what a true hell for him would be....."To have to sit and watch an endless movie of what my life could have been had my decisions been a bit different.".

That one would bother me a bit too probably! :)

So, it's raining out right now, neat sound on the roof of my RV....and I am having a cold MGD, and enjoying a good cigar.

Not to mention engaging in a discussion that seems to have evolved into a somewhat religious theme....and I am sitting in the middle of the bible belt, surrounded by some good old boy, down home Baptists....many of which are good friends!

But using some discretion, I am not about to invite them into this discussion, nor even mention my participation in it! :)

Maybe you can find some bible quotations about the sins of gambling. That might fit right in. Enjoy the cold one!

Yes and that is when they decimated the population they found here. I have arrow heads that are over 10000 years old as documented.
