Obviously the BEST rules of the game are the Traditional Rules which were in vogue before the casinos started messing with them -

These include but are NOT limited to the following :

    ~ 3-2 payout on a Black Jack
~ Dealer stands on ALL 17's
    ~ Surrender
~ Double on ANY and ALL first two cards
    ~ Double after splitting
    ~ Re-splitting Pairs - including Aces

I do NOT think that the rules should be compared by each state because casinos within each state have varying rules -

On the Las Vegas strip alone there are NUMEROUS differences between the games !

Also, in each casino you have varying rules which are dictated by table minimums and number of decks in play !

In retrospect would it be VALID to ask the SAME question regards playing Craps ?

Hardly, as there are TOO Many differences between games in each casino !

Table minimums, feature bets or the absence thereof , etc, etc, and etc. !

I prefer double deck games in which you can double after split.I'm also a trend or streak bettor so I seek out games that are hand shuffled instead of machine shuffled. Boyd run casinos are typically the best when it comes to my personal rules.

In the Midwest most double deck games have been removed or have reduced hours and almost all of them are machine shuffled.. There's one at the Horseshoe Council Bluffs in the high limit room. $50 game. Ameristar Council Bluffs usually has at least 1 $25 double deck game going. Both Harrahs and Ameristar in Kansas City have good double deck games in their high limit rooms. $25 games except on busy weekend times when most are $50 or higher.

The quarter games at Orleans or Goldcoast in Vegas are about the best you will find.

Some shoe games $100.00 or higher still offer surrender. Aria is the only one I've played at lately.

The golden egg is a dealer who has the ability to player shuffle for a good tipper. If you can find a hand shuffled game and the correct dealer who can or will player shuffle, don't go to the well too often and never tell a soul.

There is one important craps difference in states. Do the casinos generally allow outside numbers to be bought with vig on win.

Longhorn or Bighorn in Vegas is great. $2 min (Bighorn might be $3) and $100 max with great rules, but not stay on soft 17 and they do have multiple decks. You can double on two or three cards, re-split anything but Aces any number of times, etc.

The best I have found in the Midwest is Jumers in Moline Illinois. Vig only on wins and they'll let you buy the 4 and 10 at $10.00 but you have to ask if you aren't a regular.

Prairie Meadows, Meskawki, Lakeside, Riverside, Isle of Debis and Rhythm City all charge up front. Harrah's KC is up front, Ameristar KC is not. Horseshoe and Ameristar Council Bluffs do not charge up front. Harrah's Council Bluffs is up front I think. I quit playing that table of too many finger snappers.

In my blackjack textbook ( not for sale) I listed 15 casino rules and the percentages of each rule..... in favor of the house and those in favor of the player.

I give an example of 2 casino's with different rules and had the students figure out which casino was best for the player to play in, based on the rules, and figure out the total house percentages based on the casino rules.Example: late surrender verses early surrender; double down on 9,10, 11 only vs. double down on 10 and 11 only; single,2,4, 6.8 deck percentages ; etc.

It was an elementary book focusing primarily on basicstrategy and the rules of the game.

THIS post is in English and is about Black Jack -

I am most certain that IF you read and spoke the language -

YOU would have the intelligence to discern that for yourself -

Without having to be told so !

Most certainly, the English language IS spoken in YOUR neck of the woods -

Regardless as to actually HOW RED that NECK of yours is ! :)

    OH !

DID I say THAT !

Was there a reference to RED NECK somewhere there ? :p

Every place I've been to in the Midwest is 10x or 20x odds and accept put bets. Never have tried to buy the 5 and 9 here, I make put bets instead.. The only places I've been to that routinely buy the 5 and 9 are in Biloxi.
