One other thing. He now says he lost only $73. This from a guy who believes in placing odds on his don't action. If that is the case I think that $73 loss figure may be low. I was fnot there - just making an educated guess.
We all know he wants that lower HA bet!

I will cut him some slack since he did come clean.

In the real world, you always do better with the Pass/Come versus Place bets.

Pass Line and Come bets win 49.3% of the time.
Place bets on the 6 and 8 win 45.5% of the time.
Place bets on the 5 and 9 win 40% of the time
Place or buy bets on the 4 and 10 win 33.3% of the time.

That should be enough to convince anyone that pass line and come bets are better than place bets..

    Then there’s this:

Odds bets on the 6 and 8, pay a true 6 to 5, versus only 7 to 6 for a place bet.
Odds bets on the 5 and 9, pay a true 3 to 2, versus only 7 to 5 for a place bet.
Odds bets on the 4 and 10, pay a true 2 to 1, versus only 9 to 5 for a place bet.

The house edge for a pass line or come bet with single odds is 0.85%.

    H.E for place 6 or 8 is 1.51%
    H.E for place 5 or 9 is 4.00%
    H.E for place 4 or 10 is 6.67%

    It’s a no brainer.

I also play those CT tables. And every time, without fail, the place bettors are the first to bust, followed by the pass line betters, and then the don’t bettors.

Even when there’s a good roll, and the place bettors win something, they always give it back on the next two shooters. Like clockwork.

All true there CM. As Wong taught MP, less bets, more odds. MP was astonished at bankroll growth. But with Dave, can’t fix *****

works great for a totally random game
However when a good shooter get's the dice and
produces a long roll a lot of money is left on the table
by the random player that a skilled player could have and will lock up
To always bet that strategy can be a costly mistake
When the dice are running true to expectation that
strategy is as good as any
The limitations that strategy offers is why so many players lose it all back betting on all the other players on the table
