Perhaps Clay (Jr.) could suit up for the Cavs tonight. The first time Durant or Curry drives the lane, Clay could unload a vicious hit. He was pretty good at hitting whomever had the ball back in the day. Or maybe the Q needs to start up the Dawg Pound for tonight's game.
Resorts World Catskills has re-installed the 2 craps tables that were removed recently. That means they are back to 4 tables on the main casino floor. Supposedly the 2 tables had been moved to a high roller 'suite' somewhere upstairs. I don't know if they moved the tables back, or these are completely new. Only 2 of the 4 tables were open this weekend, $25 minimum. Maybe they don't have enough dealers to open the other 2 tables?
bastards, 25 dollars min......open all the tables and offer at least 10 dollar table. did I mention to you last time I was there a few weeks ago I went into 24/7 diner and it was half empty, no one except one couple in front of me and seater tells us they don't have enough wait staff so its going to be 15 or so minute wait until he can seat us. Really? 6:30 at night, popular dinner time and they don't have servers? are they fucking kidding me? 18 people standing in lobby with suits on, just standing there, how bout some of them grabbing an order pad and doing some fucking work. I think we are done with resorts Monticello. I left and headed to sands Bethlehem, don't like smoke, but not being able to find tables at decent mins is just a waste of time. we are headed up to the new MGM in November in springfield mass, Im already thinking tables at night might be the same green chip min. Ill end up in Mohegan sun if they pull that shit mgm wanted 379 for a Saturday night, yeah right.....179 week nights, Im only paying to check it out......I don't have any credit with Mlife players cards, if I did, Id fight with them for players rate.
now that I think about it, yeah, you did meet me to play a bit.....you knew I was there, but we got onto a 10 dollar table without a problem that night. (sunday night was tough)
If the casinos would do away with all tables under $25 it would thin out the crowds om the tables and make it easier for PLAYERS to get the position they want , it would speed up play and make it much easier for some of you guys.
Yeah it was a Monday. I try to go up on Mondays. One of the tables is $10. Load the bases for $300. You're right about the suits. Outnumber actual workers 3 to 1.
its not the suits I have problems with, everyone up there seems pretty courteous, professional, always saying hello, helpful, its just that they cant seem to get crews to man the tables when its packed and they need a second or third table. I don't like being forced to play at a 25 dollar table.(hotel and rooms are top notch)
Well it happened. I was up there tonight and I saw a $5 table game. It was a 'carnival' game, 3 card poker?, but the ice is broken. The place must be struggling. They built a high end gambling palace in the middle of nowhere. $5 craps is inevitable. I will let you all know.
$25 table? Easy, $25 pass, $25 don't, take or lay the odds for as much as you like, average cost, about $1 per take/lay, and you get the pleasure of annoying the living shit out of them. Fight fire, with fire man!
whatever few people there are visiting up there in the summer are gone, so now they have less people going in, especially during week. if it was 25 years ago, I would have said they got it man, but now, with so much competition in other states, not sure what they expect to do up there in the long run.
Borgata is sending me sunday to Thursday offers for 149 dollars per night, upgrades to mini suites? or just bigger king rooms for 179-209 depending on room size Im guessing. I played at Borgata maybe once over the past 10 years, so if they are trying to sell me a room, from now thru xmas, they have to be hurting a little. I must be on their M or N list of card holders, they aren't selling off rooms? We decided on foxwoods for first week of December, just too much going on until then. Had another laser surgery today. have more in upcoming weeks. foxwoods has the outlets, and my wife wants to spend whatever I win.
I'm getting offers for free Sun-Thurs rooms at Wynn in Vegas and I can't remember the last time I played there. It's been several years.
weird you mentioned that....we had lunch with my wifes good friend today and she said her and her husband want us to go to vegas with them in the spring and they will stay at wynn, something about her husband will get discount there? hes never been in a casino, I found that strange, something with his company? they want to just take in the sites, neither of them gamble or care for the casinos, we found it odd she wanted us to go with them, and then she mentioned wynn, I guess certain times of year they just want bodies in the beds hoping they walk into the casino. Im still getting shit offered to me from station casinos, just discounted room rates, which don't really seem all that discounted at this point.
Around the first of october I tried to book this fri sat and sun at Red Rock. They were sold out on Fri and Sat. We ended up getting rooms at Paris for this trip.
red rock sold out on weekend, yeah, probably conventions or corporate events. when we stayed in green valley there were events in ballrooms. corporate signs and welcome signs. vegas Im guessing, is a big draw for corporate events, must be some lucrative business to land big conventions. when we stayed in Henderson last trip, red rock wanted a small fortune, like 350 a night (with fees and taxes), Venetian at that time offered me 2 free nights and other nights at 179....so red rock got some set of balls, they must be filling the rooms without any problems.
It's all about 4th quarter & year end numbers (primarily revenue) at this point for many publicly traded companies, an unfortunate by product of instant gratification being demanded by large institutional investors of publicly traded companies. For a publicly traded company, missing on top-line (revenue) numbers and future revenue estimates is almost always far more damaging than missing on earnings. Thus, gamblers can expect to receive offers from casinos to try and entice them to visit at a time when most have earmarked spending for the holidays (gifts, travel) rather than gambling.
