Although I am in The Donald's camp -

    Upon watching the debate -

It seemed that Hitlary was in more emotional control than The Donald was -

Donald was excessively redundant in MANY of his remarks and as a result , in my opinion , did NOT effectively get his points that he wanted to make - across effectively !

Also, he was ' typical Donald ' , often interrupting Hitlary and NOT giving Her the latitude / respect that She gave Him while speaking !

    My Opinion !

since i will be voting for neither, i fancied myself going in as something of a neutral and "objective" observer...lol.

frankly i thought that both did better than i expected either to do...while there were certainly no knock out punches, i thought that swillary won on points...the donald started out strong and was leading by actually a pretty good margin after the first segment but by near the end it was a virtual dead-heat...but in the very final segment, even the final minute, swillary pulled away with the sexist issue in which she was quite effective and strong...

one thing i really don't "get" is this birther thing...i thought that bleepin' issue was put to rest years ago...but once again the general media narrative especially in recent weeks or days has kept this bogus issue alive...yet as i understand it, twitter feeds during the debate had that issue resonating number two behind only the economy as important issues or factors...go figure...

one thing that was a little surprising and effective and also a factor in swillary's win on points was her composure...that and her vigorous mien SHOULD put to rest the health issue...NOT THAT IT WILL of course...

You are correct the birthed thing was put to rest, and Trump acknowledge that O was born in Hawaii. But Hillary will still use Trump as the whipping dog for this topic, although the original idea sprung from those running her 2008 presidential bid.

This was Hillary's 15th presidential debate, Trump's first. Hillary never ran a corporation employing thousands of people, she has no clue what it takes to run a successful corporation. Raising taxes on the so called rich will do little if anything, as the top 20%, those making over $134,300, already pay 83.9% of the income taxes. Class envy is just another nail in our coffin, not the final nail, just another nail.

Donald didn't seem to have much composure.
he was contorting his face, making silly faces, constantly interrupting Hillary,
this might be a photo finish.

The finest pharmaceuticals in the world will do that for you. Who here thinks she is NOT on drugs??

Agree. Typically his campaign speeches are what we saw at first. He was reacting more then thinking for part of the debate but at least you know you are seeing who he is. He truly cares for this country. Did Hildbeast ever giv any impression if that?

Some of it was warranted and no, he does not respect her. Neither do I.

The first supposed to be question more like a statement was completely against Trump.

Hillarys arrogance in the beginning makes me throw up my popcorn.

This was a skilled debater/politician against a 'rookie'...one on one.

In a debating contest with judges keeping score, Hillary would have won. But the real question is how did he score with the people watching. I think he did pretty good; he was himself, spontaneous, unscripted, make some good points. He spent too much time on defense and did not attack her in vulnerable areas, ISIS, e-mails, immigration, benghazi, etc. ;hardly mentioned. I believe strongly in attack, attack, attack....let someone else spend/waste their time defending.

The moderator interrupted Trump 30 times, Hillary 19 times; the moderator was wrong on the constitutionality of 'stop and frisk'...he was wrong on Trump being against the war; he brought up irrelevant things eg: birth issue and several items against Trump...he never brought up 'play for pay'...the foundation...e-mails...with Hillary.

Trump did pretty good and I don't think he made a fatal mistake....I think his poll numbers will not be hurt.....he held down the fort but did not deliver any knock-out punches.

He will, for sure, pivot to the bad things of Hillary in the next debate.....

Ballgames are lost by mistakes.....fumbles, interceptions......as long as he does not commit a fatal error he has a definite chance to win this thing.

All he has to do is keep being himself....attack Hillary on her record and corruption....and keep delivering his formula and policies for America......if he continues to doing what he has been doing , he will be fine.

    IMHO.

My advice to Trump would have been...

Stop interjecting one liners when she speaks.
    Lose the facial ticks, expressions.
    Make your points, don't argue.
Avoid the "I've had great success" line. We know that 1,000 times over.
People are not concerned about your personal success at this juncture. They want to hear about their own.

If he wants to expound on this, say something like "I want to utilize my business talents and apply them to every citizen ....instead of the self aggrandizing "I've had great success". Lose the me, me and make it us, us.

That is the key to her "success" at the debate. Lester is a bigger socialist than she is, and had no tough Q's for her.

Agree with Dave. I thought the Trumpster did OK, but he doesn't need to be goaded into too many outbursts - a few are OK at the right times.

Hillary won the debate hands down. Donald is about as corrupt a business man as they come. Look at his history. Wake up people! Donald was downright rude, obnoxious and at times like a little baby whining his way back to try and make some point about how successful he has been. As for success....well we know he's screwed so many people over. Much like the snake oil swindlers that try to sell you a craps system. He doesn't really care about the middle class. He's all about himself and although he gloats about his business deals and how savvy he is and how screwed our gov't is about our own business deals, he doesn't think twice about throwing the lower or middle class under the bus to further his own economic prosperity. Speaking of how wealthy he says he is....If he is so wealthy.... why doesn't he release his tax information? He probably is hiding something. There's no other reason for him not to.

IMO he's a reckless man who knows very little about running a government. It's his way or the highway. He doesn't play well with others and would make a terrible leader of this free country. He reminds me of a dictator and that's probably why he gets along so well with Putin. He is a business man that should stay in his own arena and continue to build and swindle. Let him have his little place on Pennsylvania Ave but for God's sake don't let that him into the oval office. I do believe he's more dangerous than George because he does have half a brain. You thought George's decision of going into the Iraq war was bad enough??? I can only imagine what Donald would have this country try and do to bring economic prosperity to this country. Donald is a snake oil salesman on steroids!

trump has 2 big things going against him, first, hes from NYC, and the average Joe in mid America thinks negative of NYers, why, I don't know, ignorance? tales passed down from their parents, who knows, it just seems that way, like French Canadians hate americans, I don't know why.
Second, hes the richest guy on earth, always mentions it, people simply resent people with that kind of money.
the fact that hes hesitating to show his tax filings, not helping his campaign.
average americans question his motives for wanting to be president.

I think he has to act a bit more diplomatic when doing a presidential debate, but he held his own fine, failed to give great answers, but then none of them do in debates.

when I drive around my neighborhood, there are some funny signs on lawns.

I don't remember the exact wording, but they say, Were Screwed, 2016 presidential election.......seems a lot of people don't know who to vote for, and I strongly believe this will 100% hurt trump.
And just like the black vote(minority) voters signed up to vote for Obama, Hillary will have their full support,
I think its just an issue of jealousy and trust.
People just don't like people who have that much more than them, especially when they are struggling, and trump, well, he doesn't do it intentionally, but he flaunts it, people resent that.

but, lets see how it goes, I don't trust Hillary, not sure if I want trump in office.

It seems to me......if you judge someone, you judge them on their character and their policies.

If you compare the 2.........who has been proven to have the worse character, resulting in hurting the most people........who has enunciated the policies for the country you like the least.

    If you don't like a candidate for his policies, which ones don't you like,regarding:........... taxes.....immigration.....the 2nd amendment......plan to bring in jobs......illegal immigration......the military.......stance on law and order.....health care.......the supreme court nominations......NATO.......the Wall........

The positions between the 2 candidates are significant in these areas..............Regarding Trump, what are the positions he takes that you disagree with ?

His POSITIONS ( not his hair or the way he talks or his wealth, etc, etc, etc ) ....what positions do you disagree with ?

i cant wait till he's elected. People like you will have to be committed into Bush derangement rehab clinics.

All you post here is hearsay. Not one fact that can be confirmed. That should bother you. Instead you blindly believe it.

Trump was for the war before he was against it. Did a little deeper my friend. He changes his mind like most politicians....whenever it suits his needs for the better. He's a oily as they come. How many people did Trump swindle and not repay for work that was done for him? Count the lawsuits and do your own homework. You need to take the blinders off. Trump pretty much gloats about how he screws people over for his own financial success. He's not the kind of person I want leading this country. BTW- how is he going to make Mexico pay for that wall?? Care to respond?
