You don't seem to understand Set, I am enjoying this....I know you are not going to acknowledge anything I say, and I am certainly not going to change my ideology because of your radical beliefs.

If it wasn't fun for me, I'd be long gone from this "non" discussion. :)

I hope to get off it someday. The doc said the last time he checked me, that the stint he put in my leg is open and working like designed. Sais if it remains that way after the next check, he will consider taking me off, with just an aspirin after that....hope so!

I am sort of dependent on the government, but I believe I earned what I'm getting.....I paid into soc. sec. for 50 years, and served 22 years in the military. I could live without those, but they are really nice benefits, that I earned.

SS is DD but this was a VA reimbursement check. My first time ever to the VA. If I get a disability for hearing i will get DD for that too. Medicare starts in a year or so. Not sure yet how I will handle the whole change.

I had military Tricare for life medical, but when I went on soc. sec. I had to go to medicare, and then Tricare picks up anything they don't cover.

I guess there are some options for you when soc. sec. kicks in, I think they give you some info that steers you to the best program for your situation at that time.

OAP.....medicare coupled with Tricare for Life is unbeatable. Great medical coverage.

SET......You should get at least 10% disability for hearing and possibly more. The money you receive for diability will be non-taxable. Be advised, the VA is extrodinarily slow in resolving these issues.

I for one am very happy to see POTUS Trump pull out of the Paris Climate Goat Rope, for the following reasons.

Nonbonding, unenforceable, voluntary, non-ratified agreement, with no enforcement mechanisms, a financial burden on Americans both in jobs and increased cost for electricity or higher taxes or both.

Bottomline, the US should not be penalized for it's economic achievements, ingenuity, leadership.

For those Obama followers here is a transcript of his New Energy for America speech, August 4, 2008.

On the earth, CO2 is plant food, not a greenhouse gas. It makes up 0.04% of the earth's atmospheric gases, 400 +/- 5 parts per million.

Sure, on Venus, where the majority of the atmosphere is CO2, its effects are to keep things very hot, but we do not live on Venus.

It and water are the substrates plants use to build themselves, forming cellulose polysaccharides from simple chemical compounds present on earth, water and carbon dioxide. This very unlikely, endothermic process is driven by chloroplastic catalysts (chemicals) the plants contain in combination with radiant energy from the sun. A byproduct of this life-giving chemical reaction is the oxygen we breathe, O2.

Both LID and Planck are familiar with radiant energy.

Plants are the most basic form of life on earth, and they require inorganic carbon in the form of CO2 to make organic life on earth what it is. The most basic chemistry into the chemistry of life.

Ah, but the politicians know better than the scientists. Collect billions of dollars from countries and corporations who emit "greenhouse gases". Centralized control of such. All under the guise of saving the planet.

True, excessive amounts of greenhouse gases will raise atmospheric temperature. Earth's content of CO2 varies between 400 and 405 parts per million CO2. There is speculation that this content raises as a result of emissions, and it might, but there is never a severe increase recorded, only fluctuations between 400 - 405 ppm.

How in the name of God has the earth survived for billions of years before development of liberal politics?

Don't even get me started on Pittsburgh Mayor Peduto. A very nice fellow I have met, and someone not hard to like, but he is simply spewing Democratic bullshit. I'm sure Trump is terrified of him.

What I don't understand....is how smart, sincere people can believe in and back positions that are so obviously wrong. e.g....voting for a thieving, lying, crooked, murdering, law breaker, evil person to represent America and be President of the United States. How the hell can people see this and vote for this person anyway. What in God's name are they thinking.
