Yes the Noble DI. Let's take a look into this misunderstood topic. Now I am talking about players who have a good grasp of the game and a half decent toss.
The key is to get more consistant and of course a by product more profitability. First you need a legit toss when thrown mirrors each preceeding toss. Now No one is perfect but your toss must hit your LZ , right trajectory, and low rebounds. Where does the average DI have most of his problems.?In my opinion it is upon landing and have your die veers off or just stop dead. Your dice must track true to the BW with low impact creating low side by side rebounds..You do this your battle should be 80% done!

You watch a lot of players set the dice and have mixed results..How can you improve ones results? That is why there is practice to get your shot into order. Of course one may play on a super bouncy table and may be impossible for any kind of DI

Now once you have a decent toss then with your set you should know what numbers you are throwing more of on a consistant basis. Now some players utilize BT or like myself use the percentage of Primary Hits in judging my play and appropriate betting strategy. No I AM NOT talking about the schizophrenic practice of constant dice set changing. For these poor souls I can suggest Xanax or some deep meditation lol
Now for the legit DI you are looking for low table population usually 4 or lower. Now I may buy iñto a game with more players but I am in position to get the dice in two or three players away.
Also once you experience success step up your betting! It is your show!

Now to check on your landings.I have a velux throw ( like a small blanket) which will let you see how your dice is landing probably the most important aspect in obtaining a favorable result. When your dice touchdown on the velux a perfect imprint of the die is captured. It is so nice to see two imprints side by side a 1/4" apart perpendicular to the back wall. You donot need a table or rig. Just place the throw on your bed and see actually how you throw. If you can accomplish that your results will translate to live play. Yes skill is needed but you already knew that .

O BTW G said you can put rice paper under the throw and you can see contact lines from the dice edges.Never tried it but I have been using the velux after I have had a regular practice.

On the crowded tables that I would buy into. I get the dice in two or three turns then I leave. Not going to rent space watching other shooters

Don't forget the " Dice Barrel" which are two die glued together. When thrown correctly they rotate on a level plane which aids in your release.Maybe use it once a week .
The one aid I have serious reservations is the target detector from Linaway. Can we say " piece of junk?"

Try not to be too technical. Do it by feel and get your toss more fluid. If it feels natural results will come. Donot panic and start the set change merry-go-round!

Colin from Blackjack Apprentice gave reasons why players gave up card counting which can apply to the DI

People move on to other challenges.Just their choice Some people can never stay in one place.

Negative variance in losing streaks. DI ' s begin to panic at first signs of a losing streak. Will change their toss, set, betting, you name it they are running scared.

Bankroll MGMT.Some DI' s under bet their advantage or over bet it. There is no plan of increasing their EV in their play.

Travel takes a toll. You cannot use one casino as your ATM. Some players get tired of the travel.

Their game is not perfect. This applies to the newbe DI who has taken a class and goes full bore with no brakes.Leads to big losses then dissolution with DI in general. Discipline out the window!

Most DI's refer fondly to the table(s) where their skill shines through, readily admitting that they have no shining skill at many tables, just one or a few.

If this is true, why in the world would you play anywhere else? Forget about travelling, Play where you win.

There are ATM's in casinos, but casinos are not ATM's

Probably the travel pertains more to Blackjack where if you are a counter playing big you would be subject to Back offs. Yes it is legal but casinos can and will exit you and your play.

Play where you win....sounds sorta easy right???

I used to have three tables I liked here... did pretty well, and that
for me was before I learned the little joe shot or ever read the material
if Linaway.... 2-3 of us all with GTC class experience used to play
several times a week...it was fun and we did make some money....

Then Mole Lake took their table out and it has not been replaced, Carter
changed tables, Keshena closed their table to dice setting for about 2 years
then replaced it with a table which is very bouncy and has very large wall
    pyramids...

So the tables we could beat have been replaced with tables that are extremely
bouncy or have back walls that make the use of an on axis shot impossible...

So Koko how do we play where we win without travel ?????for me to play now
is a days commitment.....I cant go play for 15 minutes, get ah4ead and walk home

Have you noticed DeMango no one has assumed the mantle of an expert DI since MP. Dearth of DI books authored. No one has stepped up. DI seems to be unreachable to the masses. Of course we have set our own course and smooth sailing ahead!

Yup, and next to nobody posting at Axis. When it comes to on axis tossing, no one takes the next step, measuring results. To their lazy detriment.

Finding places to ply your skill might be as difficult as being a Stoker seeking steam engines to make money shoveling coal into the furnace.

Meanwhile, back at the Tiki Bar, Dom and gang are enjoying tropical drinks complete with umbrella on your tuition money.

You seem like a man without a country in the world of crap. Might I suggest trying PARR or Axis Power or Dice Coach. Those guys claim they can play all over and win too.
