So would that be LTROQ
That's weird, I had you figured for a Barry Manilow, type guy.
Tough to explain? Yes it is. Actually, I think the desert landscape is most appealing, in a bright moonlight, just seems to fit.
The desert isn't for everyone. Some prefer the city. Some the coast. Some the Midwest. North, South What's that song?....kind of like America the beautiful.
I still think for a heart stopping view...a place like the Grand Canyon and when you first get a glimpse...it offers that "wow" moment like no where else.
Back to regular programming.
What’s the point of owning a Porsche, if you’re not willing to use it?
I could listen to manilow all day long after he writes the songs that the whole world sings
Love his music
Aerosmith and eagles go better with top down desert driving
Not sure if I could handle a top down in desert that dry air is murder
Can't wait to try though
I'm envious of tdvegas and some others who live there and can drive out to the nothingness any day
I like the ocean when it's 15 degrees outside and it's just me on the beaxh
I've never owned a car that made me want to drive fast until I owned it
My daughter went to ac one weekend with her college roomie and I gave her the car and she told me daddy all I wanted to do is race everyone
It came back without any scratches or dents I was happy
What's the point? So people will see you driving a Porsche, that what. Check it out everybody "I'm driving a Porsche",
I think I had one heart stopping wow moments, the first time I went to the Bronx, and saw all of that graffiti. It was kind of like, "America the not so beautiful". For just pretty countryside, I think Pennsylvania is hard to beat, beautiful postcard farms.
I agree, I go up to the south Bronx once every 6 months and Im amazed at how run down and crappy it looks.
on the other hand, someone I know has money invested in real estate in the south Bronx, and building prices went astronomical. go figure.
its not for everyone, but millions upon millions of people want to be near the big apple, and are willing to sacrifice some things to be close. whether it be a career choice, or some interest in fine dining or theater, NYC keeps every single neighborhood rocking and rolling, 24/7
Personally, I wouldn't walk past sundown in the south Bronx, but Ive been in dozens of large cities, and I wouldn't walk in their seedy sections either past sundown.
NY and the Bronx doesn't set the bar, Id never walk more than a block away from a casino in downtown vegas either. Odds are one would get mugged a lot quicker in downtown las vegas than in south Bronx at night.
I remember when I went to Chicago recently, a board member here gave me street boundries and told me not to go past a certain street.(M guessing meaning that's where the iffy sections start)
no city is immune from the shitty looking downtrodden areas.
downtrodden, maybe wrong word, more like low income
nope, its like driving a go cart, an adult go cart. its just fun.
Nah he is probably one of those 60's hippies
If they want to go fast they should get a plane .
What did you decide Frederic , wanna give the bulls a shot??
We will call this , "THE REAL MAN TEST"
sorta like TDVegas' bohump test.
Stay on for 3 seconds I'll give you a , "PEECHYPOO"
I'll report it here on the forum and tell everybody you tried
and I will say , "OLD FREDDY BABY gave it a shot".
Try the triple hard way, I guarantee that will be a wowzarroo
or in English an absolute , "WOW WHACKER"
Death Valley has some awesome scenery and places to visit. Scotty's Castle, Ubehebe crater, Zabriskie point, the sand dunes (to name just a few) and the Death Valley Inn (4 ⭐️) is just a superb place to stay.
Europeans love to visit in the summer. Something about wanting to experience the extreme heat. Go in August. You’ll feel like you are in Germany. Lotta fun to see people experience the place. You’ll hear a lot of “mein gott, heiss”...!!!
It's quite a place, actually....unless of course you already decided "it sucks” before getting there. Then I’ll boot ya outta the car and say “enjoy Pahrump”....
There are still some pockets by Arthur Avenue that are OK...that’s not really South Bronx. South Bronx, near Yankee stadium...I wouldn’t venture without back up.
I’ll take you to a few places here that rival the south Bronx. The Alphabet streets. B-A-D.
As you noted, all big cities have spots.
TDVegas jeep tours
$49.95 one way to the Grand Canyon .
visiting some of the cities in between vegas and reno, no people, no cars, almost as scary.
