This from an asshole who risked life and limb for a cheap 8 second ride?
First and foremost it was never cheap with travel expenses
Hotels , motels entry fees Doctor bills , bar bills They all add up
so there is nothing cheap about it.
One of the perks however was scads of women in every town
looking for the thrill of a week or so with the guy
who had the BALLS to climb aboard 1800 to 2,000 pounds of
mean temper and raw hate , a bull ,who's lives with one thought
in his mind , to shake you off and stomp your guts into the ground.
You ought to try it just once in your life,
Come out to Texas , we'll see what kind of man YOU are .
We'll start you out on a , "JUNIOR BULL" for your first ride.
You're an asshole if you don't , you got the "SHAFT" , LITTLE MAN??
Of course on the other hand living in New York
you were probably on subways everyday.
As I said, trolling, egotistical, asshole. The truth is always ignored by you.
What you call egotism is nothing more than tremendous
confidence developed over the years by doing things
many guys don't have the "SHAFT" to even try.
You call me a troll when you are the one who dredges up
these little , "HATE FESTS" of yours.
If you have a , "HAIR on your , "@$$" you'll come out and
let me put you on a bull and see , "WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF"
What truth did I ignore? Tell me what it is and I will deal with it .
Land where people aren't living 60 families per square block.
you can go days without seeing another human being ,
that's living at it's very best. I'm sure you enjoyed it.
What truth am I ignoring???
100% correct....and I never put the pedal down with anyone else in the car. My wife wouldn't tolerate me speeding much more than 5-10 miles mph over the limit. A reason I didn't drive thru the desert each time in Nevada all that fast and everyone passed me. Rental car tires?
I didn't worry about it in my Porsche, those cars are made for the autobahns.
I once had my H2 up to 90 going down to AC one night, and Im almost certain it started going sideways, so I never went over 70 in that truck again.
I don't speed much anymore, try to set my cruise control 3-4 mph over speed limit.
I do get a kick out of all the sign advertising NY pizza in all other states.
like its going to draw you into their establishment because they claim to have NY pizza. I guess pizza dough, sauce and cheese are NY style pizza to western states.
(surprisingly, the best pizza I had out west was in the grand canyon shopping center, pizza was excellent)
that's one other thing you mentioned Pahrump, ever since I noticed a lot of the TV series COPS was shot in Pahrump, I never drove over there even though its just short distance from vegas. maybe I shouldn't watch so much TV.
There's nothing to see in Pahrump. I go thru when traveling to Death Valley. There's a few casinos...but real sawdust joints, similar to some of the Boulder Highway places.
A couple cat houses too.
Wow, for a minute there, I thought you were talking about one of your clients. Ma'am.
Not much in Death Valley either, can't believe that would be somebody's destination.
that's the beauty in it for me, nothingness.
a whole lot of nothing but brown desert. I wouldn't want to live in the desert, but its a nice change of scenery to visit now and then.
its actually fascinating to me. before they built the overpass/bypass down near boulder city, when I used to drive up to progun range each year, wed stop on the entrance road and notice all the small cactus plants and all the colors. Id chuckle seeing it grow wild out there alongside the dirt roads, and up here in northeast, some florist would be charging 25-50 bucks for one of those small cactus.
the saguaro? definitely my favorite, things us northeasterners don't get to see, never up here.
don't know what the attraction is, but we love to see the desert when we go out west.....cant wait to get in the car and drive out of town.
Im guessing its like the ocean for people who live in the Midwest.
and one more thing, the lakes in the desert are so perfect blue. matches the sky out there.
TDV knows where the cat houses are.
What truth do you think I ignored Fred P
What did we decide guys , want to talk about winning at craps??
Yep....I love getting in the car and driving thru the desert. The mountains, the Joshua trees, the cactus. There's something about desert scenery...tough to explain, as you noted....but extremely enjoyable. Top down, desert heat breeze, Hotel California playing....and not a person or another car for miles.
At night....it's even better with a desert sky.
