I just felt like sharing a tidbit of gambling trivia with my fellow gamblers, especially Craps players. I always say Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, but I was also curious as to where and why this expression was ever created in the first place. Here is what I found per the quote below. Winner winner, chicken dinner "This perplexing phrase finally made sense when I read that casinos in Las Vegas many years ago once sold three-piece chicken dinners including potatoes and vegetables for $1.79. Since winning an average bet could make you $2.00, you had enough money to buy a chicken dinner." The dealers and stickmen would yell out Winner Winner Chicken Dinner when a player would win a $2.00 bet.
