Thats what this forum has turned into people who want to act like chuckleheads instead of having adult conversations.Obviously the moderator doesnt want to do anything but let this forum go down in "flaming".Getting called names just because you have a different opinion?Im sick of it.

I disagree with the bouncy tables. I was just there at the Horseshoe this past weekend and covered 4point fire bet. No trouble with bounce.

Bek: I was welcoming Harley to the board. That was not directed at you. The Horn set is 6/5 and 1/2 over all four faces (4's or 3's kiss)
Harley: That trio of casinos is the best place to play from a non AP standpoint which you and I already know.

Well some of us do get quite a chuckle when magnets are mentioned with plastic resin dice. In time you will chuckle too!

idoc - I guess we will have to disagree on the Harrah's Horshoe bounce in Tunica .... 3 of us DI's with about 20 dice classes between us were watching a GTC roller have a hard time on it and we each commented among ourselves that we would not play there due to the bounce

.... and I have seen two 6-point Firebets on the bouncy LV Flamingo tables (both chicken-feeders), but I would never play there myself

Not all Horseshoe tables have equal bounce charcteristics. You gentlemen are probably both right. If you play on say a Saturday afternoon, with most tables open, you should find a table to your liking.

According to the cover of the book, this is new edition and includes 30 new professional charts. The book is available from Amazon in May, 2011.

hey guys im new to the game of craps trying to learn the art of systems and strategies and how to follow the trend of the table. Would anyone recommend this book, i know it hasn't come out yet i dont think. But does anyone know of the author to have some legit knowledge of the game ? Sounds like he does from the way everyone speaks about him.

quote from amazon about the book "Sam Grafstein, perhaps the most respected craps player ever and a legend in the game, was a crapshooter and crap game operator for more than fifty years"

just wondering if amazon was building the book up for sales or if it a fact. Wanted some outside opinion on it.

sorry if i look like a idiot for posting this.

Every author who writes a book on craps is "the most respected and legendary" I have two othe authors who say the same things on their books.Buying these books are a gamble just like the game sometimes.Amazon is usually the cheapest place to but something so you might as well blind buy it.

How does it feel now that the shoe is on the other foot, loudmouth !!!!!!!

Perhaps if you were respectful towards others, they would reciprocate in kind.

However, because of your insolent demeanor towards others on this forum and name calling you are being treated in exactly the same manner that you treat others.

I would say that I am sorry that your feelings are hurt because you were called names - but then again that would be a lie !

I bought an old copy on ebay (I think) a while ago. It has been out of production for some time until now. For less than $10 I think it's worth it, IMHO.

I don't think its the best book but it does contain info i used to develop my own craps style and systems.

"But does anyone know of the author to have some legit knowledge of the game ?" Yes, according to what I read in the book.

    HardEight -

You, Sir, are definately a piece of work !!!

For the record, I am married ( 6/ 14/ 75 ) , which if you can do the math will be 36 years this Flag Day - that is June 14th !

Not only do I spend the evenings and weekends with my wife - we are also in business together - therefore - with the exception of travelling to and fro home to business location and her running the shopping errands - you might say - we might benefit with a little bit more time apart !

By the way - my forsaken and lonely wife, and I - just returned from an afternoon/evening trip to to Mt. Airy Casino - left tooooooo many bets on the table - but we were able to take home a $300.- profit !

Me and mine - wish the best to you and yours !!!!!!!

For the guys that want to know something about the book, I would recommend it for anybody that plays craps. The author was a real craps player, and yes you can take many things from his book, and still use what he was writing about in today's game of craps, the game has not changed..!

The only thing that has changed is the invention of the so-call DI's, and what some of the authors want everybody to believe, that their way is the only way you will win money at the craps table.
The authors of the books on becoming a DI, want their audience to believe that everybody else is wrong, and all I can say to that is what happened to all the guys that have been winning at craps for all the years before the word DI was coined, You have a lot of players that will never pick-up the dice but they still win when playing craps.

Sam Grafstein the (Dice Doctor) was one of these players, and came up with some great ways of betting the game they still work today, anybody that plays the game should have this book in their library on the game of craps.

The one thing that can always be said about craps is you could have a full table, and everyone on that table could be betting differently. Some will be winning, and most will be losing..!
You need all the information that you can find about the game at your disposal.

There is no doubt that the book is worth the money you are paying for the book. If you can't find something in this book that will help you out when playing craps you should just give the game up, and go back to playing slots...!
