The title of this thread should read as follows:
'tain't no superstition!
Please forgive me.
After consulting with my grammar coach, another revision is required:
'Tain't no superstition!
There. We all feel better now, no?
When I was still a teenager an older gentlemen told me the definition of that word and it had noting to do with craps
Last night I had a guy believing that if the bubble machine heard the call from the live craps table it would roll the same number next roll. I was right 1 out of 1 and made him a believer.
While I've heard of many Craps superstitions, the one that ultimately seems true is when somebody new comes up to the table and buys in when a game is in session.
If the 7 doesn't roll right after the buy in, it's usually in the next 3 rolls.
Many times when somebody buys in when the game is in progress, I feel like screaming at the guy "Do you not have ANY manners? You are ONLY to buy in when 1 of 2 things happens - either the shooter rolls a 7, or the shooter rolls the point."
But, I bite my tongue, don't say a word, and hope the 7 doesn't show. I'm too stupid to take down my bets, but next time I will!
It's not a superstition, I have witnessed this hundreds of times, and a 7 has ALWAYS, followed a midroll buy-in. One time it took 43 rolls, but sure enough, there the SOB was, "7out". Never fails! WTF is wrong with people?
Sooner or later....everything is DUE.
When it gets sticky is , when a number becomes , "PAST DUE"
I have heard that (when that does occur the , "7" , will show 88,8% of the time , on the next roll)<<<<
