Question: Does the table minimum also apply to the odds bet? For example.....If playing at a $10 minimum craps table with 3-4-5x max odds and the point is 4 ........is it possible to take odds behind your $10 pass line bet.......of $5? Probably not.......but thought I would ask.

I appears the question becomes....if 3 is max odds ( 30 dollars) on the point of 4.....can you bet odds of 5 dollars. Take a wild guess. 777

It depends. I have seen casinos that will allow $1 in odds as long as the pass line bet meets the table min and some want the odds bet to be at least what the table minimum is. You probably need to ask where you're playing on that one.

Of course you can place any odds behind your minimum line bet, from nothing up to maximum allowed. For the example of point four that you cited, the $5 odds will be fairly paid at $10. If the point was a six or eight with the same wagers, the odds would still be paid fairly at $6. However, you would get short-changed placing $5 odds behind an odd point, since they must be even odds to be fairly paid. $6 odds would pay $9, but $5 odds would only get you $5 x 3/2 = $7.50 but you'll only see $7 of what is actually owed you, since most casinos don't used fractional chips.

Yes I do, the ride home sitting on that fattened wallet, tends to give me a cramp in my leg. It's not all a "rose garden" ya know.

Thanks..........that sounds logical........I am heading to the casinos for my semi-annual trip soon.........and will give it a try to see how the dealers respond........Thanks.

I' I'm confident they will give your zero problem. You might consider putting most of the money on the odds side of the bet ....you can always remove it or reduce it or replace it or add to it ( up to the max allowed ). Koko gave you the best answer. Note: if you REALLY like the number and you are maxed out on your PL odds, ask the dealer to give you a come bet on the number with full odds. 777

Do you know the traditional definition of a put bet and the number it is usually put on ?..................that's different from what I said........I was thinking about a number other than the point. 777

I can tell you how the dealers respond to me, with both index fingers in a cross, held out in front of them.

A friend of mine just told me that it makes sense for the house to allow a less than minimum bet for odds ............because the odds bet is the best player bet (no HE) on the table.......so the smaller the better casino. Seems to make sense.

Wonderfull but you don't tell the dealer where the come bet goes! The dice will tell you where the come bet goes!

Tell the dealer you want to make a put on the come...." put me on the 10 coming with odds " ...............I tell the dealer, the dice don't tell me. 777

That's the problem on this site. Yafuck up, but you don't want to admit you are wrong. You PUT a bet, a come bet travels. No puts ifs or ands!

I'm gonna ask this question here instead of starting a new thread. When does the small tall all bet start? Does it start with the come out roll when the puck is off or does it start after the point is established. I know if a seven is thrown on the come out, it wipes out all the previous numbers thrown and starts over
