A bowl game played in (new) Yankees Stadium, home of the Bronx Bombers -- who wear uniforms with pinstripes. So, football in a baseball stadium.

Why not? Should make lots of $$$ and may be a good game, but who wants to play a bowl game in the freezing cold?

I'm not sure why (probably cheapskatedness) but we Pitt alum do NOT travel with the team, even to big bowl games, which this one is not.

There will be a hell of a lot more Northwestern alum there than Pitt, even thought they have a lot farther to travel.

Almost all of my buddies from West Virginia go to EVERY bowl game they are in.

Didn't realize you were a PItt alum, Koko. Nice wins by the Panthers this season against PSU and Clemson.

Northwestern alums have already infiltrated Wall Street and Madison Avenue, so there should be a few of them at the game. Not sure how many of them will travel to NYC for the game, though.

Hey, if it's good enough to play a playoff game on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field in January, it should be more than good enough for college football.

Every fan of Big Ten and former Big 8 football has yearned (for years) about having a major bowl game in a northern city -- and not in a stadium with a dome, either. Let's see how well those hot shot teams from Miami (FL), Florida State or the SEC handle the snow & cold!!

So, with the Pinstripe Bowl, we're halfway there.

First games of the NFL Playoffs: Seattle 26, Detroit 6 and Houston 27, Oakland 14

Later today: Miami at Pittsburgh and New York Giants at Green Bay

They're in Green Bay, their last stop for this season.

Not a lot of confidence in a team that prides itself on defense but doesn't seem to now how to play it, but the stars seem to be aligned for the Steelers.

I like Atlanta for my first choice to win nfc...and the giants as a dark horse you can get good odds on both...on the afc side the steelers, first choice and kc for second choice they should be at decent odds also

There is NO DOUBT the Giants will win this game.

Giants and Pats in the Bowl with the Giants one more time, squashing Brady for the win.

A Trump win and a Giants win....what more can a man ask for.

Must have been an oversight or poll limitation . He also left off the Cleveland Browns.

You could be on to something. Explain this one (men's hoops) -- the Huskers are in first place in the Big Ten and already have road wins at Indiana and Maryland.

Looks like it's based strictly on conference wins, or the Russians like Nebraska?

Yeah, it's based upon conference wins. Given what is in Omaha (at Offutt AFB), I doubt the Russians are fans of Nebraska.

At the half, Green Bay 14, New York Giants 6. Another half of football still to be played, but the Packers are starting to make some plays in the passing game.

Earlier today, Pittsburgh beat visiting Miami 30-12.

I have. Giants receivers must think they're Roberto Duran -- hands of stone. Packers made several big plays the last 2:20 of the game on both sides of the ball. 3rd and 1 and the Giants weren't able to get the first down and had to punt, allowing Rogers to eventually complete the Hail Mary.

And how about that cheap shot (okay, illegal hit) that knocked Packers' TE Jody Nelson out of the game? Wasn't flagged, but that was an obvious miss by the officials. Big loss for Green Bay.

BTW, Airplane! is in my top 3 all-time.

They just did too many things wrong. I am disappointed ; I really thought they could pull it off, even if 7 1/2 point underdogs. Eli is really good in these type of games.
