3 times within the last 3 weeks, Las Vegas casinos have switched the dice on me in the middle of shift after the table heated up o_O

Most of you know that Vegas casinos usually only change dice at a shift change - no Boxman wants to be responsible for dice he inherited from another shift .... Even though the Nevada Gaming Commission has informed us that most of today's dice are strong enough to last several days, only Caesars and Bellagio to my knowledge change their dice once a day .... Most other casinos 3 times a day at shift changes

So why would a casino change their dice in the middle of a shift if all dice were created equal o_O

Is the casino in the gambling business or are they just there to increase profit margins by increasing HA by any means ??!

You seem to frequently post things I don't believe. I wonder if it's you or me.

    Harley,

The following Options for changing out DICE on the FLY so to speak!

In which case study the following Options:

    CRAPS ~ DICE CHANGE OUTS

Now, it's obvious that most DICE can last a full day, or at least a full shift, why, then WHY DOES the CASINO change them out after Many HOT ROLLS?

    Three potential ANSWERS IMHO:

    1) CASINO Personnel are Superstitious

    2) TABLE Personnel got that Call From Upstairs, to Pull & Inspect the DICE, to verify that they haven't been changed or modified by a table magician!

    3) Casino wants to CUT POTENTIAL LOSSES, by inserting DICE they feel will aid the CASINO, i.e. those all to prevalent UNBALANCED DICE!

As one on the PLAYERS SIDE of the TABLE; would you NOT LIKE to be the one to figure things out & EXPLOIT it, while the uninformed continue to donate to the CASINO?

Think about it, rather than just reply like a programmed robot!

    CRAPS ~ DICE CHANGE OUTS

how many times you have seen the CASINO change out the DICE after a great roll (or even during a Great Roll) by a SHOOTER?

Well I can't prove it or disprove it - nor can you. That leaves me with whether I chose to believe it or not.

Based on my own experience in casinos, coupled with your nonstop monologue about biased dice, I chose to be a nonbeliever.

You have every rightt believe #1...

However, as one on the PLAYERS SIDE of the TABLE; would you NOT LIKE to be the one to figure things out & EXPLOIT it, while the uninformed continue to donate to the CASINO?

    eagleeye2 -

You beat me to the punch -

The three reasons that you state are MY sentiments EXACTLY ! -

Whether the dice are biased or not - has nothing to do with the casinos' continued effort to protect their bottom line !

Badddoin - we did prove it at the ACA and I have the evidence .... However, you are welcome to believe whatever you wish - no skin off my back

You have nothing to worry about being a SRT. No casino need take any counter measures with respect to your game.

Let me ask this you say you have the evidence as in what they are changing out fair dice to bias dice? And if so your proof shows that they are doing it cheat the players?

    Badddoin,

According to the craps expert at the following link Casinos change dice four to eight hours.

    http://scoblete.casinocitytimes.com/article/how-often-are-dice-changed-38020

In addition to that each casino will set their own hours and it varies from casino to casino although they will usually be something like:
    Day: 12pm – 8pm
    Night: 8pm – 4am
    Grave: 4am – 12pm

Also, the pit crew will be staggered so they will not leave at the same time as the dealers so it's difficult for anyone to know exactly when is a shift change at every casino and when were the dice last changed.

According to a survey at this popular craps site most players don't believe the biased dice conspiracy.

    http://www.dicesetter.com/Casino Dice Surveys/FairDice.htm

Of course some casino pit critters can be very superstitious just like some craps players are superstitious. It is said the California chopped up and burned the table that Stanley F. Played and set his world record hand.

Wow - HornHiHeavy can Google, but he has perspective problems .... He sites an article from 9 years ago from a guy that visits Vegas maybe 3 times a year

Then HornHiHeavy links a survey from over 6 years ago where less than 54% believe there are fair dice in a casino -- let's do that survey today and see the % !!

Some players can grasp the obvious right away. Others cannot accept it and end up beating the dead horse for years and years and years later.

I'm tired of players on this board blaming biased dice for their losses. I'm also tired of this "us vs. them" mentality. If you think the casinos are cheating, don't play. They already have an edge, much repeated on this board and proven by the math. "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen," a much quoted statement by a great Democratic president, Harry S. Truman

... And Heavy - while your business partner, Howard was on a good roll the other day tossing into the hook at the Rio with a toss I taught him on how to overcome unbalanced dice, you had a:
    • $420 Eight (10 times larger than the 6 bet)
    • $42 dollar Six and
    • Double the $$ on the 10 than the 5 plus 6 added together
Seriously, you don't believe in casinos using unbalanced dice when they were close enough to bite you at SR1

Heavy - why don't you freely let Howard or anyone express their beliefs and opinions on biased dice ... Is it due to the fact that biased dice would destroy your On-axis business model ?!! ... Or why else ?? ... Howard and Crimson Tide don't understand your lack of comprehension with regards to biased dice

OK, you haven't said that explicitly, but I'm going by the INTENT you, et al., suggest. What else can one come away with? Maybe you haven't lost w/ "biased dice." If not, why constantly harp on it?

I'm not sure why you address Heavy when you reply to me. But oh well...
And yes I am somewhat familiar with Google. So I'm tossing in a few more recent ones for your bed time reading pleasure:
