I like this play on a choppy table.$12 DP and place 6&8 $12 each.Get one hit can't miss.up $2 if he 7 outs.On come outs only lose one or two - wait for next shooter. If 6 or 8 is the point either still place it or place the 5 or 9.I like to get 2 hits and take place bets down.Leave DP up or place it locking up that two hit profit.

This is Barney, The LID uses the OHCM at times but only at higher limit tables ($100 and $1,000 mins). If you get on a roll you can make most greatest profits to counteract the initial hedge. Once the LID gets the feel of the table of the craps, he will then use his most profitable betting strategy (SOGOP) as described on pages 333-334 in his best selling book "The Game of Craps." This strategy is similar to what the Gargoil and the James Hall uses with an all across bets and press on every other hit.

LID Now if the DP goes down before you get any hits not sure what to do.Continue without hedge and possibly lose twice.Put up another DP or just take placements down and wit for next shooter

This is Barney, Now as describe in the book, when the LID play OHCM he will continue with hedge until he gets three points then go to the pass line. He does it because with three point hits he has good chance to hit the passline prop bet (sharpshotter, ATS, or whatevers) and doesn't want bad vibes to hurt his chances of getting the fourth point. With the SOGOP he goes balls to walls.

If you ask me, hedge betting is nuts...take a side and go for it. If you miss, there’s the next hands. Scare money don’t make money. Get a good system or two, a loss limit. If it’s not working, leave before your in a bad loss,, find a better game.
