calling out bullshit on koko
You all know how to take care of assholes right???
Finally won at a craps session. Staying away from the World helped me win. Yay. No more prop bets for awhile. I have seen the Light.
So that's the secret to winning...... staying away from prop bets.
I always learn stuff here.
LOL. I know, now I can quit my day job and devote myself entirely to craps. Sounds like a plan.
As long as you keep it at 3 to 5$$$ and lower or even with your passline bet. Then I'd say go with it. If you hit a point, than do an iron cross bet to make it up.
do you set the dice when you throw???
Horn is better then world cuz pass line covers the 7.
Up front let me join the welcoming committee, Queta, however late my arrival may be. In the past few months we've had a spate of stroboscopic (now you see them, now you don't) arrivals who make a few posts on the day they join, then vanish back into the cloud, leading me to suspect they are the ghosts of future spammers. Looks like you're a keeper, though. Je suis enchanté de faire votre connaissance...and that, my dear, is 95% of my French!
You will also find that listening to the voice drives those who do not hear it wild with jealousy!
Just don't buy everything that is on sale!
Craps is indeed unique in two respects.
1. The players activate the game's random element (i.e. throw the dice) and therefore "determine" the result.
2. At most tables most players win or lose simultaneously, which generates camaraderie amongst them.
Could have fooled me.
Well, if Basic Sevens got education then I certainly cannot stay off the band wagon. You free the end of this month? Wife will be out of town. Have plastic, will travel.
Only prop i do on a comeout is 3way seven on a winner seven pass line win.
Thanks for the welcome! I haven't been on the forum for awhile but appreciate the thought. I am going to Vegas next month so will be on more in preparation for the trip.
Well Queta, welcome to the forum...as you can see with this thread, the posters here are never lacking with the opinions. Playing the props is a little situational, though invariably bad %. As to your World bet every comeout as a Passline hedge, I wouldn't play it, but I don't like to hedge. When I do play ANY props it's only when I've booked some winners and my working capital is considerably fat. Then I don't think it's a crime to take a flyer on some long shots as long as this strategy is used very sparingly.
With all due respect...
Conventional players view prop bets as a hedge. Nothing wrong with that. It's like riding in the comfortable interior of the plane.
Those that take their game to a higher level view the middle area as high octane, thrilling, blow-your-hair-back, wager that can take you from 0 to hero pretty quickly. Knowateyemean?
Many very skilled player the middle of the table is where the money is
continually cashing $6 bets is the road to ruin in their mind
And some people win the lottery too.
But if you can, and are, beating the prop bets, well, just keep doing it I reckon!
you bet , always do what you always do , if what you always do always brings the result you want
otherwise change what you always do .
thank you OAP that is good advise for us all
I have never advised anyone to stop doing something that results in success, in fact I applaud it!
I might however question some claims of success that are on the verge of unbelievable. That does not mean I would not be willing to be convinced. There have been many occasions where this has happened.
A fellow pilot bragged that he could land a Cessna 150 and stop it in less than 50 feet on the runway. A couple of us doubted that....then he proceeded to do it while we watched. And it was well less than 50 feet! (some of us did claim that he cheated just a little though).
I am still waiting for a DI to offer that kind of proof, in a casino! I would not have accepted the pilots claim if he just demonstrated it in a simulator!
Thanx for your comment ComeBack....with all due respect, the dislike of hedging is my own personal kink...with sports parleys I won't "lay off" either...the only way I'd consider hedging is if the bet size was WAY, WAY out of my comfort zone...it's just me.
