Another ridiculous spin by the spinmyster , I said absolutely nothing about anyone's
capability to make their own decisions , judgments and all that other rubbish you mentioned
What's insulting is how you try to influence people with your backhanded statements such as the one above and think they are going to accept it
Saying that I am insulting them when they were not the subject of the post
But rather the post was , "WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO BELIEVE
I mentioned nothing about what they do believe
You were insulting to them not me
but I guessthe continuation of your disingenuous insulting posts will continue
I am sure they see thru your , "$#^*T"

Read the post again I did not talk of them
I was addressing , "WHAT , "you want them to believe"
I was addressing your shortcomings in your desperate
attempt to protect and save your fading , "BRAND"
and fight for some scrap of relevance

No. Your own statement below says I already have some believing that....meaning it's past me just "wanting". Your statement indicates I've already succeeded. I give the forum members more credit with the idea that they ALL are very capable to think on their own and make their own decisions. You apparently think they are not capable....and rely on me or let me sway them. Ludicrous.

It sounds a bit like you are saying the folks on this forum are too smart to fall for your , "$#^*T" I hope you are right
Tragically some do believe you , that's why you post the , "$#^*T" you do
You can't help anybody win so you do the next best thing to maintain some degree of dignity and relevance , promote the EASIEST Path
do nothing , accept fate , be satisfied with what luck affords
    Yep some have believed

I think they are smart enough to make their own decisions based on whatever argument is presented. AGAIN....this you dispute by noting "tragically you have some believing that"...as if I have convinced them. I give them more credit. A LOT more.
AGAIN...these players are FULLY capable of making their own decisions.
This has nothing to do with your shit that I just put out in the street..once again.
Then WHO is the subject of this post when you say some???

Ive purchased most of my walnut I use for furniture in Michigan, and schlepped it back out east when I had my pickup truck.
it was almost 3 dollars less a board foot(square foot) and I didn't have to pay tax on it.
Some older tables Ive seen are just works of pure brilliant craftsmanship.
if I had room, Id love to tackle one. not going to happen, my house is only 1500 sq feet.

If you want to see a REAL, LIVE 16 foot " Barge " -

On your next excursion into Vegas, just take Boulder Highway till it turns into Fremont St. and check out the 4 Queens two craps tables !

Pace it off and you will readily see that they are 16 feet, indeed !

I did not and will not play on the 16 foot table -

    However, as a matter of fact - on that 16' table SR1 / SL1 would be the equivalent of SR3 / SL3 on a 12 foot table - OR - SR2 / SL2 on a 14 foot table -

In THAT regard - your above premise is totally invalid !

    FWIW -

Half of our operation was a wood shop where we duplicated window and door profiles to either repair broken Historical windows and doors -

OR - fabricate new to resemble / duplicate the old that were beyond repair -

The ONLY items you need to make a chip rail are a table saw to cut the wood to the proper width, a router to rout the slots for the chips and a chop saw to cut the rails to length !

WHAT is so EXPENSIVE about THAT ?

Even to fabricate the curved portions at the hook might also require the addition of a jig saw and a custom router template -

Again - anyone who knows his woodworking stuff can do this quite easily - the HARD part is fabricating the initial template(s) -

And even THAT is NO big deal !

Sixteen footer... my back is aching already.

I will look for my Supplier catalogs and get prices for each size for our curiosity. The prices will be dated, but relative.

A 6 foot tall stickman standing at center, with 24" arm length to his palm grasping a 48 inch stick would put it at 6 feet. A good dice setter as yourself, would force the dealer to push over the player on either side to retrieve the dice. I will have to see this!

Post #87. This guy made Pool Tables. Not Craps Tables. I did not inquire if he could make dice. They look simple too.

If you look at the various dice sets which are predominately used by knowledgeable players -

You will readily see that certain sets favor certain box numbers more than others -

Quite apparently, for someone who is supposed to be " knowledgeable " about the game - that is NOT the case in this instance !

....? Knowledgeable Player. Does one have to be a Horse's Ass to be knowledgeable?

Then why even set dice to favor certain possible outcomes? This is Dice Chucking. I already can do that.

The Theory of Dice Setting set the orientation of the dice to favor particular outcomes.

My Dice Chucking Theory is that any shot will result in 11 outcomes. No more. No less.

After reading through some previous posts... one must be or become a Horse's Ass to be knowledgeable.

I will also demonstrate my skill at shooting, any time. It is consistent and reliable on any table, any place at any time.

    Not necessarily -

However, it does help immensely -

If one does remove their anterior from their posterior !

I have played on a few 16 footers in the midwest and on one I even got the dice taken away from me when at SL1. This incident was a little after the Doms show on the history channel and the box would give me a three count to have the dice picked up and hit the table. I can set fast but after the boxman counting to two before I even touched the dice got me passed.

These barges are so large that most people can't see what's rolled on half of the table including the suits. Hell, I couldn't even see from SL1. They do use an extra long stick to pickup up the dice but small stick persons still had lots of trouble. Dice go off the table a lot by people shooting from the end due to the amount of force required and the game really slows down. Luckily over time most are gone.

I don't know how big they were, but the old Barbary Coast, had the longest tables I've ever seen, 4 of them.

The 16 Foot Craps Table. Do a Google Search- 16 Foot Craps Table
Not a lot being said, other than being 'huge'.

I prefer using a 14 foot. The dealers were not over whelmed with players and the stick was not overwhelmed with prop bets coming from... across the street. The extra foot for an 18 footer on each end, would not create that much elbow room. Maybe four people on each side of the stick, comfortably.

People count the chip rack separations as to indicate how many people can play at each end. Divide it by two. Nobody wants to be that friendly...

The small Riverboats in Missouri liked the 12 foot. I sold my 12 foot to a Riverboat that floated the Missouri River. I had to pay the Dice Distributor in Kansas City, who had a gaming business license 10% to handle the deal.

Only a few of us might have had the opportunity to step into a Riverboat in Chicago, Saint Louis or Kansas City. There were those in the south, but too far for me to go. I still have some Vote Riverboat Gambling bumper stickers. One on my waste basket.

    ##### Casino in Kansas City was paying our dealers $1 for each verified voter who signed the Riverboad Gaming petition. They also hired them to help set the slot machines and table games onto the Riverboat, once gaming was legal. Some dealers eventually took their free Craps Dealing School, I did, while others waited for their favorite Casino coming.

    7-Out -

You know what's funny - let me tell you a TRUE story -

The Atlantic Casinos - the CET group - which has the Fire Bet on their layouts -

On the 12 foot tables there are 14 Fire bet spots -

7 thru 1 Stick Right and 8 thru 14 on the Stick Left side -

One would assume that the table would accommodate 14 players - as there are 14 Fire Bet spots -

Well, Guess WHAT --The table Max players were limited to ONLY 12 -- 6 each side --

Can some one explain to me , logically, WHY - with 14 NUMERATED SPOTS on the layout -

The TABLE MAX was limited to ONLY 12 players ?

I am TOTALLY perplexed by THIS !

Certainly like the stories Snake and SevenOut are trading back and forth. Hope to see more of this type of exchange.
