Yeah, it's a '53 Sedan Delivery, 235 6 cylinder, 3-on-the-tree. I've got the motor out of it, and I think it's rebuildable. The bell housing and the tranny are both cracked.

I'm not quite sure exactly what I'm going to do with it yet. I'd like to go back original, even though it's got a '54 motor in it.

This time last year I traded my Camaro in on an electric wheelchair, so I'm just stoked that I'm able to do anything.

What would cause the bell housing and tranny to crack? Floor jack?

Yeah, but I'm only doing it to "sterilized" my insides. Didn't have any needles to "shoot-up" bleach.

That's as good a guess as any. I broke the bell housing on my Monte Carlo when the front u-joint let go. There's really no telling with this old junk.

Always with the name-calling. I gotta say though, nobody's ever called me that, before. Must be a colloquial thing? :)

That is my High school. Tough to see it but it's just another building in that area. They have mostly ALL been burned down. Great big apartment buildings with brass fixtures everywhere. Maybe this summer if I go back that way I will get a picture of my grade school. Same era.
I have seen blight like a wave behind me. All I could do was run away.
