As a spin-off of another thread, I'm interested in how often people perceive the Fire Bet to win.

Putting actual statistics aside... in your opinion, how often do you perceive the Fire Bet to hit for 4/5/6 numbers per # of shooters, hour, visit, week, or month?

That would be hard to say my last trip to the tables I hit it one time for 4 and was told it had been hit twice earlier in the day for 4 it has been a long time since I have ever hit until now.

What amazes me is the sharpshooter bet which would seem easier to hit and I rarely see that one made

The guy made 6 different points and was upset????? What was he upset about, the casino actually losing money on his roll? Was he afraid he had put them out of business? Having made the fire bet or not, the guy should have been walking on air.

Probably bet $5 pass line and $5 on the odd which made him win less than $100 total while the rest was getting paid thousands.

When I go to the casino its usually for 2 or 3 days. Each time I go I see 4 and 5 numbers getting paid at least two or three time. I dont think I've seen a 6# fire bet getting paid.

A couple of years in Vegas I was at a table that hit two 5# Fire bets back to back by random rollers.

    For $1, $2, $3 max - I'll take a " gamble " on the next shooter -

Similar to the lottery - you have to be in it - to win it -

I think I posted this story on this or another board -

" LuckyLady" and I were at S/B casino +/- a month ago or so -

    She's SR1 - I'm SO Left End ( North End ) -

SR2 has the dice - makes 3 unique passes - hits 3 Fire Bet Numbers -

"LuckyLady" and I each have a $2 Fire Bet working -

    SR2 passes the dice -

    Next shooter is "LuckyLady" -

She inherits SR2's roll - she is now with the 3 Fire Bets up - and on her C/O roll -

Unfortunately, she pissed the 3 wins away the dice then passed to SL1 -

After we left the table SR2 was still playing -

I asked him why he passed the dice when he was having such a great roll -

    His response -

    " I play the Don'ts - I was killing myself ! "

You can not make this shit up !

Regardless of expected / anticipated winning frequency - Hey you never know !

    Bek -

Talk about a " bad hair day " - that would have to be the pits -

Comparable to having a winning lottery ticket - only to watch the dog chew it up !

I have walked up to a table more than once when the 1st point had been made and the shooter went on to hit 4/5 or even 6 points but very seldom do I not have a fire bet if I am rolling or am at the table on time. The sharp shooter however I have failed to have money on that many times

    MY personal best to date is ( 4 ) - Linda's ( LuckyLady) was ( 5 ) - prior to last Tuesday night -

    She hit the Come-Out " 8 " six ( 6 ) times consecutively in one hand / roll -

Made the point all 6 times -

Hence her nick-name by the other players at out table -

    Unf*ckingbelievable -

And we LOST the $5 Fire-Bet we had on her roll !

But made it up on the repeating box numbers she threw !

I have no stats on this at all, but my perception is that a table would see - on average - 3 or 4 hits a day of 4, 5 or 6. I say that because I play generally 2 hours at a session and I seem to see one hit one every three or four sessions. So that is one every six or eight hours of play.

By the way, I walked up to a table where the first number had already been made. I bought in and watched the shooter finish all six numbers (damn I wish I did not have to hit the men's room before I went to the table!) The shooter was really pissed off and left the table giving up the dice....
...He was shooting from the don'ts.

it hit s a good amount. trick is if you bet the fire bet you probably are not around long enough to see it. aka broke. that being said its a great sucker bet. that is well worth the money if you are willing to play anything in the middle the fire bet is the one that will make all your problems dissapear if you are on it. i seldom see it if the shooter is on a legitimate hot hand. its aways when its a twenty minute or less shot do all 6 come out. just from observation.

    FWIW -

Played S/B this past Wed/Thu with a group of controlled shooters -

The Fire Bet was hit 3 times on Wed for 4 unique numbers -

Twice by Linda and once by me -

Hit once on Thu for 4 unique numbers -

    Statistically -

I do not know - not my cup of tea - but - for those who care -

Wed - there was a total of 54 shooting opportunities by the attendants - F/B hit 3x for 4 #'s

Thu - There was a total of 53 that were recorded by me - Linda and I left early - 3 shooters remained at the table - 1 of those shooters shot for almost two stick changes - a total of 38 minutes - in that time - he had a hand of 50+ throws before he 7'd out - One 4 point F/B winner - on the 50+ roll throw !

I have personally caught the 6 number fire bet 7 times. I once threw it myself my wife has also thrown it. My trip to LV last week I also caught all six. Can't tell you how many times I have been in on the five and four but it has been quite often. If this is a sucker bet bring it on.

    " Innocent until proven Guilty " -

THAT is the premise that the United States' Judicial System was built upon -

Let US do the SAME here -

    This past Sunday afternoon - I walked up to a $10 Table at Caeser's AC - put a pissy $1 Fire-bet - along with my $10 PL wager -

    AND PROCEEDED to make 4 unique Fire-bet hits - with a repeater 5 -

FIRST TIME shyooting at Caeser's in quite a while -

Was focused on the JO at SO opposite me who had the audacity to bet against me -

He did not know he was betting against the worlds' worst shooter -

Next time he'll know better -

Took me three throws to knock him out -

    The Fire-Bet is samo-samo the Lottery -

    1. You gotta be in it to win it -

    AND -

    2. Hey, you never know !!!!!!!!!

This is pretty much my take on the Fire Bet discussion.

I've been lucky enough to be a part of a 6-pointer before, so I'm ALWAYS on the fire bet for no more than a nickel.

    Because hey....you never know....

I agree with you. When I am tossing, its always max firebet, and when I am not, is a dollar or two. I do not do a lot of center table bets, but the fire is a must.

I am way ahead on myself on firebets. On others I am probably up 15% give or take.
