Time to branch off into one of the side roads of DI.Say you use an On Axis dice set like the 2-3 V' s. Let's take the 2-V set.In my case I get a lot of 1 die off axis hard 6's.Now not all the time just enough to take notice.
Can they be exploited as MP would say? I can remember countless times in practice where I would hit 2 or even 3 .before the soft 6. Gee using James double parlays I am $5000 richer! Guess I answered my own question.
.Which way is the cashier Cage?

You are assuming a lot here Dave. If you had all those PFH's in the casino, you should be parlaying hard 4's and 10's off your V2 shot. You are also assuming braggadocio from Mesa is really happening. Why would you live there, when in 10 - 20 rolls, in Vegas, you collect $5,000 all the time?

    Here is another question /
If you get the $5000 pay off how many times can you lose the $5 and still be money ahead?

You should be behind by $500 by every $5000 you win.

By the numbers, a player would on average bet $6655, for each $5000 cash, for a loss of $1650. DeMango. 11x11x11x$5. Not $500.

the answer I was interested in was after a $5000 win . how many times could you lose the $5 bet and still be ahead?
Or another way to ask the question would be
"HOW MANY TIMES COULD YOU LOSE $5 AND NOT LOSE THE WHOLE $5000
ANYBODY PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CHIME IN WITH AN ANSWER PLEASE

You could take a thousand more shots at the triple hardway, with a $5000 hit. The problem is that, the probability of success, with a true roll of the dice, is 1 in 1,331. This is what the numbers say, assuming no influence. If there were influence, then I would have to know the exact amount, to calculate the odds. The exact number seems to be a little elusive, in most cases, and somewhat exaggerated, in the rest. You lose $1650, for each time you are successful, on average. Sorry. :( :).

There is no concrete answer dummy! The casinos count on you losing $500 for every $5000 win. Total handle of $5500 in case you can't add. Or 1100 $5 bets in case you can't divide.

There are a number of ways to turn a little into a lot....but understand
    what the odds are.

If another player feels they have the ability to beat the odds on a parley
that has nothing to do with you or me... we have to be able to do it.

I have a friend in Vegas that does that with the hard 4... and a couple of
years ago he hit one...good for him... but I don't try it.

the reason I don't make the high vig bets is because if I do
then pretty soon I am playing to loosely with all my money..

If I were going to I would use the 3/13/5 out of the GTC shot style
because I am going to have some good paying rolls and still have
the chance for a hard 6 with a shot where both dice end up in the
original throwing plain.. In addition you can change that set
with a quarter turn of your right die to change the seven in
X axis and still retain the potential for the hard 6.

    Good luck, but be careful

A dollar slot machine with a $5000 jackpot is a better play statistically.

There is no answer to that question. First it depends on how much you donked off before you hit that parlay.

Congratulations on getting lucky. At the rate of $600 donked back per year at your level of play that 5K should last you the rest of your life.

    Thx ,2 DB
....using the 3-V will of course give you that hard 6 with a PFH.What I am talking about is a hard six outcome resulting from an off axis using the 2-V set.Just a quirk that had no explanation.

That is what the DI stuff is all about...a quirk in your toss is different than
it would be in mine or James or Ricks even if we used the same shot and set.

You have to use what every individual results your shot gives you. If it is hard 6's
    go for it.

The one thing I caution people on is ,
If you don't throw certain numbers , don't bet them , ie , BET WHAT THE DICE GIVE YOU
I had a 3 day trip to Vegas once where I did not hit one hard 6 or 8 , after the first session I quit betting them
It was just not to be

I think I've hit about about 4 hard eights period, when I had money on it. I've seen people score big on the hardways though, so I know it's possible, it's always fun to watch a guy lay his balls on the table, but watch out for that sledge hammer.:D .
