Imagine playing at the same table with your grandson as a pit boss!

Personally, I've never understood the idea of the casino as the enemy. How ludicrous. That's someone's wife, daughter, grandson working the table. The game is what it is. Your success or failure is what you bring to it. period. When we win, we did it. When we lose it's someone else's fault? Ridiculous.

Like no other, this game can make you look honestly in the mirror. That's why I encourage my sons to play.

Look at that win - you did it - empowerment, self-appreciation
Look at that loss - you did that too - personal growth
leading back to a better win & greater empowerment.
    Motion forward...
In the end, you either win or learn - you never lose.
And if you don't learn, worry not, you'll get another chance.

I don't see any more gambling in the game than I see in life.
Really. I'll tell you what I see...I see a live streaming, in-your-face sharpening experience of clarifying effective life skills. I see personal character development & a visceral feeling of what it means to thrive or not. The wellbeing is there for each to find or not.
    Game of life...indeed.

Yep, A good mindset you have there, with the life experiences!

My grandson use to deal all the games, a requirement at the casino he works at. He didn't much care for the craps dealing since it is "card" craps here in California. I also do not play it much at all either when I am here visiting.

But I did play BJ for a while, and he was pitting that area. It was busy, but he did find time to smile when I would win a hand on occasion. :)

You are right about the casino not being your enemy, I also look at it as their being a host, and I am a willing guest.

I have been on both sides of the table, and enjoyed, and enjoy both experiences!

I hope your sons learn the lessons you intend to share with them....but there is a saying.

"If you came to the Yen place looking for answers....there are none here!". :)

Obviously, YOU have NOT taken any considerable sum of money off the table !

ONCE you do THAT - YOU will be totally initiated into the " World of Casino Reality " -

YOU are NOW - according to THEM - a " persona non gratis " -

YOU had the audacity to ACTUALLY WIN !

    WTF is the ' matta wit U " -

YOU are NOT supposed to do THAT !-

YOU are supposed to LOSE like EVERY other IDIOT who comes UNPREPARED to do battle with the casinos !

YOU can LOSE - ALL DAY LONG - BUT - get " LUCKY " and begin to win - YOU are an UNWELCOME GUEST !

    Mark MY words !

Having said that Monsieur Snake, let's assume you go 10xs per year & you can only pick one. Only one.

    Would you prefer...
    • One, $10,000 win together with 9 wipe out losses
    • or...
    • Ten, $1,000 wins spread out over 10 visits w/0 losses
    No wrong answer here.

I can only assume he was NOT smiling TOO MUCH !

    To coin a phrase that I used previously - " PATHETIC " !

Continue in your pipe dreams - I am most certain they will make entertaining reading some day !

Perhaps you could even start a thread / book entitled - " My Life and Hard Times " - by ' the Pathetic One ' !
