I've seen that happen many times! I once had a call where someone fell down the shaft from the 7th floor and could I go by and help them get him out of the elevators shaft. It turned out that a maid got her extension cord and vacuum cleaner part in and out of the elevator. The vacuum was in and the elevator took off to the next higher floor before it shut down. So along comes the maintenance man and opens up the hoistway door on the floor where the extension cord was and trips over it and down the hoistway he goes!

So I was right around the counter and when I got there, there was nobody in the pit. He had gotten out by himself and went to the hospital without telling anybody. He had bounced off of what we called the spreader beams and the extension cord that was wrapped around him broke his fall as he was bouncing off those spreader beams.

I never got to meet the guy to question him about what happened but saved our company from a lawsuit by taking photos and talking to the maid and getting her to sign an affidavit as to what she saw happen!

Edward, I've never called myself a so-called DI I was setting the dice before they coined those words. I know a lot of guys and girls in the DI world.

Vegas should be on your list just one time. But anymore there is no reason to come here unless you want to see some shows or do some sight seeing. Just about everybody now has casinos in their own back yard that will offer you a better game of craps!

Vegas needs to wake-up to that fact and change how they are treating their players!

We are home from Nemacolin after only one night there. I'm wondering whether I would recommend that anyone go to this place:

Arrived there around 8PM yesterday. When checking in and giving them the credit card, I get a receipt showing only that room charges for 3 nights will be $1835. We are starving, and no eating reservations are available anywhere there until at least 10PM unless we go to a bar/food joint "with good food", so the 3 of us go to there and have sandwiches and cokes for $100. Thankful for the coke to help get the food down.

In the elevator ride up to the fourth floor, we are told the ele only goes up to three. We have to walk up to four. The dog seemed to like it.

We unpack, then I shuttle down to the casino, the boy goes out looking around and the wife goes to bed with the pug. When I return at 3AM, everyone is awake. The beds are like you're sinking in quick sand. Get in and you sink down to the floor. I can sleep through a fire so was OK, but no one else slept a wink.

When the missus turns on the water in the tub this morning, out comes dirt and some insects. Of course she had a bird. They wanted to "upgrade" us to another room, but we headed home instead. We were all able to have an outstanding shower.

At the Lady Luck Casino, a Isle of Capri property, there were a total of six other players there beside myself during the entire 6 hrs I was there. $5 min with only $500 max. Play was terrible at first, every other roll for every player was 4:3 line away. Finally got on a nice roll placing and pressing the 8 - took it from $18 up to $120 on one guy's good roll. Was ahead by $150 at best but gave it all back, plus a little more.

Merry Christmas! Not exactly what we were looking for over the holidays, but I'll get down to the Rivers probably today and Monday so it won't be a total loss, unless I lose totally.

Next time Tahoe! Harvey's or Harrah's. Great casinos. Walk two blocks to Heavenly's lifts. Paradise!

YIKES! The place sounds like a victim of government over regulation...

...Because only government regs could make a casino resort FUBAR.

6 players on the craps table in 6 hrs. HOLY COW!

Perhaps that sacrifice will insure a prosperous new year.

    Welcome back

So do you believe that by setting the dice and tossing a certain way that you can gain a advantage at craps. I have read people say you posted videos of dice tosses and they not stay on axis and may even seen the thread on it so is that to proof or disprove anything. They way I see it DI came about as on axis tosses to set and hit certain numbers then you have videos show dice don't stay on axis. The result may indeed seem to be on axis but truly were not. So now we come up with off axis DI. Isn't off axis a fancy way of saying random. I have played at a lot of casinos and never have seen anyone say anything about someone setting the dice. I have heard box talking about DI doesn't exist. Now the bias dice. Yes I believe dice are not all the same. Not sure if I believe casinos are having dice intentionally bias one way or another. I have heard tons of claims of this but have yet to see and solid proof of it. And roll data doesn't constitute proof of it.

There was what might have been a "scientific study" outlining the effects of a lot of things on dice outcomes. This was brought up in a recent thread. Hope I am remembering correctly below.

The only two things that were "found" to have any effect on dice outcomes were: (1) dice pre-set
and (2) friction/drag. The study suggested that pre-set was far and away the winner. It did NOT conclude that influence can be learned/taught, or that one could "win" using it. Simply that of everything looked at, only pre-set showed any effect on results.

Who knows? I have certainly observed over the years that there are a few people who, in general, do better shooting than others. I have not observed many such people, and do not include myself among them.

this thing called DI has been around for many many years , practiced by a few people
who very quietly guarded the secret others quite recently found or stumbled on to it
and started writing about it . As time goes by and people work and experiment with it
it will improve and get better and better
here in Mesa several months ago we did some tests and studies
with total novice players and even a couple people who had played for varying amounts of time
our intention was to see how training would affect a persons abilities
our intent was not to prove or disprove we wanted , only , to know what effect if any
training and practice might have on developing or improving a persons skill
We had people throw dice the way they always had , we logged results
then began a training program with these folks , had them come in and
practice at scheduled times , practice sessions were set up so that the practice sessions were different lengths
some were to practice 1/2 hour others for one hour each group practiced once per week
after a period of time we had them come in throw dice and we again logged results
we did that for several weeks
It was quite interesting . The results were quite varied
