Yes, if you get lucky in the short term his marty strategy is ok if you have the bankroll. However, in the long run if you continue to play like he and Alan have done you end up a big loser. Here's recent picture of these two video poker buffs captured captured by my suppercomputer.
Sure when playing Jack's or Better one uses the math established way.But no way the math way guarantees you an advantage in games where the ace has increased value.Yes you may lose less but no way you are winning decent money.
.As Rob says you want to chase pushes and filling an inside straight go play the math way and lose 7 out of 10 sessions.
Also compare his way to the math play and in many cases the math play wins by a few percentage points.Yes it just keeps you in the game but you will not capitalize on a potential big hand.
" Not with an ace" lol
Alan has hit hard times after moving to Vegas. He lost his business and is broke in Vegas. Following Singer marty helped him one year but he really busted out in the following years. Went from playing $25 to 25 cent video poker. Rob is Rob.
Alan has that website with various businesses networked.
Remember there are NO advantage players in VP!
You are wrong, just not many opportunities. You just have to know what to look for. Alan business recently went bust. He seems like a nice guy and I hope things work out for him.
Barney is a well known figure in the AP community and keeps me apprised of the ins and the outs.
Alan said that most people are playing
mostly win to break even bets on VP. He defines
those as , "MATH CORRECT BETS".
That would be similar to craps players
always playing the Lowest HA bets.
Alan former actor and tv consumer reporter hosts his Best deals shoe which is still going.
What you have said is true but history. Jacob has a website but does that ensure he is succesful. Everything looks good on Alan's site but it is almost dead much like the Supperick's old craps site. Alan has said utube has killed his business and what he takes in he can not pay his debts. He has a great voice but has noted that his type of business has little value in todays internet world. Also his VP/craps play has put him in a financial pickle.
lone irish digit, As you said Supperick's old craps site is dead! That's because the site host was sold and it became just too hard to do anything on it. There were new members that were not approved. All control of the site was lost. So with that said I stopped posting there after I tried to take the site down and couldn't even do that!
It looks like this site is headed in the same direction, sometimes you can't even make a post and it's becoming a pain to do anything here!
Good info.I like Alan who is very personable and just came across him recently.I know Rob was a professional with an incredible bankroll.Did not think Alan played VP at that level.BTW Rob's VP progressions are not for the faint at heart and are complicating lol. But he does seem to shake things up a bit. Lol
As hard as it is to believe, Rob even surpasses Hardley with shit stirring and shaking things up. Alan is a member on this forum but hasn't posted for years. He plays some craps but got beaten up worse than TwodiceBilly on WOV when he said he was at a table in Vegas when someone threw 18 yo's in a row and nobody bet on any one of them. The mathathletes say the odds of this happening made it impossible and human nature questioned the validity of the claim since no one jumped on the so-called trend.
Ron is like the Richard Harvey of Blacklack lore. These math boys have brittle egos to say the least.Orbiting cards?
