Yes, have been to Jerome. Also took the train (Verde something). Haven't been to Montezumas castle. The south rim can get packed and it's gotten worse over the past few years (as have several national parks--Zion, ugh). I hate to say jack up the entrance fees...but not sure how you can cut it down unless you do a reservation type thing.

Also love Sedona. I'd like to do the 5 parks in Utah....but it's a lot of driving and trying to see all that can be seen. Arches NP is also a nice place to visit.

Unless you want to play bubbles not much reason to go there. I dont know about st louis but they are really only bubbles in area. Tunica is about 45 minutes farther from there.

I believe so. They are both members of Total Rewards and part of the greater Harrahs (Ceasars Entertainment) organization. Harrahs Ak-Chin has been going through the major renovation to the entire property. Added a much needed parking garage (I hate leaving the car out in 120 degree sunshine).

Another great place to visit is Walnut Canyon just east of Flagstaff off of I-40. It has Indian ruins that you can explore. The ruins are on the side of the canyon and you must walk about 150 stair steps to get to them. Going down is the easy part.

Continue east on I-40 for about 15 minutes and you will come to Twin Arrows Resort and Casino. Fairly new casino and they have Interblock Craps.

Sue and I love Southland Park.
When we head to Biloxi in the spring it is about 11.5 hours from my home.

We get mailing from them and they include free play that i don't feel i have earned and most of the time a free buffet or 2 for
    1.

We check in at a motel, go to the dog track for a couple of hours
and when the buffet clears a little we eat.
this year i had $50 on my card...mystery to me, so i gave it to my
wife to use and she hit a $1100 pot on a machine.

Has bubble machine, but it is almost always to full to play so we just enjoy the stop, meal and a couple of hours with the dogs

Last time i was there they had 3 bubble machines. They have a aruze machine. They have the combination bubble roulette and sic bo. Maybe 2 of those machines. They use to haver the shoot to win electronic crap but they got rid of it. Itwas always fun to watch people set the dice on the screen and shoot. I have ate at the restaurant there but never the buffet.

Not real sure here, but we went to Pinetop and I believe there was a little bar, on the main drag, that had a small sports betting area like for dog races and I think some pony races. We continued down the road and I think we went to Honda where basically the road ends there. We had lunch at a nice little restaurant with a little stream running right there. Correct me if I am "rong". If u have the time give me a call would enjoy chatting with u. If I don't respond just leave me a message and I will get back to u shortly. Just sayin.

Pinetop/Lakeside seems like one town. You get to pinetop before lakeside but there is no buffer between the two. Not sure why it seemed like the road ended. If you would have gone South it goes to the town of White River. They have a fish hatchery there which supplies all the trout for the White Mountains. Continue east from Honda would take you to New Mexico. I'll get in touch with you soon. This is a picture of our property in lakeside sent from our neighbor across the street

Never have been to that one. We usually go to Kansas City when we venture that way.

The better half did stop at Mark Twain casino last fall to check it out. They have several short tub tables. I may stop there on the return trip this time.

Wow. memores. Reminds me of one early before sunrise there were three of us in a ten foot duckboat.
Trolling motor battery, big 32lb thrust Trolling motor and three big tackle boxes.
We were just a little top heavy .
These other two guys were both heavier then I at the time. I we were about 650 pounds between the three.
We trolled that 300 acre Hawley lake as the sun came up one. Late fall early November I think. It was cold. None of us had floatation.
We managed to, all three, troll our Fordfenders & whatnot for about 4 hours without spilling in the drink. But I shit my pants a couple times as one of us would hook up and it almost tipped us over.

The Red cliffs above sedona were occupied as you know. Back about 1992 a tourist Helo spotted a unknown cave in the morning sun and spotted a number of intack big vases/pots. I find it remarkable how people lived back then. Montezumas castle is a good example. Have not made it to Montezumas well which is also close.

Hawley lake is up there in elevation.
I think it's somewhere between 8K and 9K feet. Almost all the cabins near the lake that were owned by non tribal members are gone. The reservation took the land back. Non tribal members can not own land but they can lease and those leases expired and not renewed.
My parents would rent a cabin for a week either in pinetop or lakeside. That was our summer vacation while I was in grade school. No Disney land. No visits to the beach. I didn't mind because I loved being on shore fishing or in the boat trolling for trout. Yeah most of the lakes on the reservation allowed only electric motors. My favorite lakes were A-1 lake and Sunrise Lake.
Sometimes Bog Tank lake when the others weren't producing.

We used to caravan 4x4s to Strawberry to cut down out Christmas trees in Tonto Forrest. There is/was a pullout where we all parked and a hill we used for sledding. Right on the edge of the Mogollon Rim. Great times 1979-1983.

hed A-1 and Sunrise as well but nothing matched this experience All three of us expected to hit the drink and see who survived and who got the blame for tipping the boat. We had to sit and balance in the middle. If two of us leaned at the same time we would all jerk it back. The water was no more than 4 inches below the rim on both sides. Truth is we were all scared shitless but too much a man to admit it. There were a few on shore at the Dam watching us and laughing.
We took our limit and they caught zero.
If you drive thru Pinetop a lot. the Cabin was one of the first built in 1980's in a new development just NW of Pinetop. It is a Chalet style A-Frame. We had no heat and it faced west and cooked ya in the summer. Not enough thought into it;s creation. But Drinking on the hot tub while it snowed a foot was a unique time.. Next morning hit the slopes...

When you mentioned Montezuma....I went thru my pictures. I was there. I took so many trips to thru NM & AZ, I've forgotten some of the sites. Glad I have photos. Casa Grande was another one.
