I agree with the time line
MOD at main cage
Not sure if this is under proper heading or not. You guys realize it has been 30 years since casino gambling was created for the natives? When is enough enough?
I have never seen a group of "businessmen" with so little knowledge of the operations of a casino and still take in a staggering dollar figure. Turn key is , i guess, is the appropriate term. Will there ever be competition for them? Prob not. Even drove the Trumpman out of the arena
Gila River Casinos has the ABSOLUTE worst players club and whoever does their marketing should join in with the players club redesigners and quitely go stand in the middle of interstate 10 at oh about 5pm, and whistle dixie at the first big rig. In 35 years of casinos and hard core gambling i have NEVER.witnessed a totally uneducated and ignorant move on the part of the casino. I will be brief. 240 pts uawd to get 5 dollars . 5000 is the new number. Gone are the potential of decent food comps and room comps. In a short period of time (6months) they have managed to totally alienate 75% of their med/ large patrons .
And they absolutely dont give a shit.
Personally I don't care for play based comps. Seems like I can never get close playing mostly bubble and Video Poker. My wife plays slots and gets all the room and food comps we need, although I would rather get a room at WHP instead of Vee Quiva. I must say, Ditka's at VQ had an excellent Steak Delmonico that is worth going back for.
Bucky's in Prescott, used to provide almost $20 just for showing up on Senior Day. That has disappeared. I read in the AZ Gaming Guide that Buckys just installed an Interblock Roulette machine. C'mon man, add Craps and you'll save me an extra hour drive time to Phoenix and get half my gaming allowance.
Twin arrows is best, IMO. Every 6 weeks I get a survey that lands me $5. I just tell them that since they're the only Craps game in Northern AZ then they are my first choice casino. And I can use the free play on the bubble machine. Not available at Gila River or Harrahs in Phoenix. Don't know about Talking Stick or Casino Arizona.
As promised here is the 2 paragraph answer (copied from a 2 page response to a simple question) about Live Craps coming to Arizona:
"Our team keeps hearing rumors that with the onset of expiring compacts in the near future, the new compacts may include live table games beyond Blackjack. We, for one, agree with live Craps, live Roulette, etc. Some critics of expanded gaming may not like to see an expansion of live table games, but one has to wonder just exactly how many Craps tables would spring up in Arizona’s casinos. Market forces will dictate the success and failure of live Craps. Ultimately, the demand for these live games in an actual casino will settle the debate about how many of these games actually survive on the casino floor.
To be clear, a larger variety of live Table games (Craps, Roulette, etc.) becoming available for play in Arizona’s casinos will most likely require a voter approved ballot proposal and a new com- pact between the tribes and the state. Clearly, this is not some- thing which will happen overnight."
Funny that they keep hearing rumors as they were the ones who posted the original article announcing Live Craps coming to AZ. For me, this is not disappointing as I prefer e-dice.
I stand by what I had posted earlier in the thread: No Constitutional Amendment, No Live Craps in AZ
Looks like the overly-optimistic writers at that website finally figured it out.
No problemo RR, the Arizonians can make the short trek to Harrah's NM
