If the shooter is NOT a controlled shooter, what are your thoughts on leaving place bets on the come out? I'm thinking it's a roll like no other (unless, again, the shooter is controlled and setting the dice for ALL SEVENS) thus you should leave them on. Psychologically, it's brutal to lose all that money when everyone else is happy on the 7!

Part b of the question: If I leave them 'on', and the shooter rolls one of my numbers, do I get paid just the same as before? I ask because on this one simulator I'm practicing with.....even though he asks me if I want to leave them working, when my number hits he's pulling the money down. It happens so fast I can't really tell what he's paying me (my guess is he's just giving me my odds back).

It does not matter if you do or you do not have your place bets working on the come out roll.
Math guys will say you will lose more since you have more in action but you can also win more since variance works both ways.
If you do not like to lose when others win on the seven, then leave your bets alone. They are off on the come out roll.

I ways have mine working when I make place bets, mostly the 6&8, and bet the 7 sometimes. That way I win something on a winner7.
Winning is all about winning and losing. You have to takes losses and if you do not like losing, do not play.

Yes, you get paid exactly like you do when a point is established.
On a real Craps table, the place bet stays to win again until you direct the dealer to do something different with it.

Try WinCraps, it is a shareware software. Its free to use and has a great help section.

I just started leaving my place bets on the come out roll.

All of them when I shoot and the 6 and 8 only on another person is throwing.

It seems I have won more than I have lost.

I don't know that I've ever made my place bets working on a come out roll.
    2 reasons:
    1) I typically avoid betting on obviously random rollers, and if I do bet on other shooters I'm usually only betting pass+odds on them
    2) When I'm shooting or someone in my crew is shooting, they're going for a 7 on the come out and setting accordingly. This would obviously be bad for working place bets.

If you're using a 3-V set or something else that is good for hitting inside numbers, then I don't see why not, but its nothing I've ever crunched the numbers on to find out if its beneficial.

I always keep them working on the come out if the shooter made the point. Why turn them off if the shooter is rolling numbers? Especially if it’s a hot roll.

Off after any seven, because the shortest gap between 7’s is zero.

I see leaving them off as an opportunity to have the house advantage for that one throw with no risk of losing other bets. It’s similar to playing the Don’t on that one roll. I like to turn ‘em off at cold or choppy games.
On a hot table, when I’m comfortably ahead, I like to leave ‘em working and hope to collect more bets.

Only thing I would leave on in comeouts would be hardways if I’m playing em.

The game gives you a break when off. Take it. Even more on a luckbox randy. They almost always will throw a seven or two in between points.

There is no way i am leaving place bets on , on a come out roll.

You cant eliminate the 7, on a good roll you just hope it happens
on the come out after a point has been made. Most long rolls
for the typical shooter happen with the 7 hits at the right time.

I am happy for a free roll.

No, one of his "likes" was an act of charity by MR Dice, about a year ago. MR Dice noticed the lack of likes, and decided to double him up, out of sheer pity. MR Dice disappeared not too long after, don't know if he found happiness with "Meredith", or succumbed to a broken heart. :)

There is one mathematically correct answer as to whether to leave your bets working on the come-out.

You should do what the voice tell you..... whatever answer you pick will coincide with the math.
