Has anyone been to the Isle of Capri in Waterloo Iowa recently? I noticed they show 6 electronic table games and was wondering if they'd installed a craps machine since the last time I was there almost 2 years ago.

Thanks, I'll post what I hear back. . Thinking about taking a weekend road trip and stopping there and in the quad cities. They did have a sweet craps table there the last time that looks to be shorter than 12'. I couldn't get anything going on it the last trip.

I hit the Quad Cities (IL, IA), Riverside (IA), Dubuque (IA) and Clinton (IA) on a trip 2 years ago. Thought about extending it to Waterloo (IA) or Burlington (IA) at the time, but didn't. The 3 Quad Cities casinos are very nice. At the time I visited, Rhythm City was a new facility, while Isle Casino Hotel had a new land-based casino connected to the hotel, which was already in place across from the riverboat. Jumer's is old in comparison (new facility opened in late 2008), but it has held up very well over the years. And it's a non-smoking facility.

Despite it's relatively small population, Northeastern Iowa has excellent options for gaming.

For better or for worse the politicians in Iowa pretty much chose locations for the casinos to try to get as much out of state traffic as possible.

I heard back from the Isle. They have 1 Roulette machine with 6 seats:( The IRGC site shows 6 machines but they count different than the other casinos in the state. Another one of those deals where the same words can have different meanings.

We may still check it out soon. We're going to the quad cities for sure and the better half wants to go to poopy's in Savanna, IL to eat.

I did find out for sure today that Rhythm city now has an Interblock craps machine in addition to the regular tables.

Thanks for the updates. Rhythm City has a much nicer land-based facility now when compared with the old riverboat that was docked near downtown Davenport. Haven't been to Poopy's -- certainly hope the food is better than the namesake, lol. BTW, you could also stop by Wild Rose Casino & Resort (Clinton, IA) on your way from the Quad Cities to Poopy's.
