Interesting thread along with some excellent suggestions. Isn't this one of the most important questions? Do I go in at the beginning of a roll by betting big; or wait a few rolls to prove to myself the toss looks good? The dilemma is that PSO occurs most frequently on the third roll, next most frequently on the second roll, then on the fourth roll. (Thank you WOV for that practical information) The dilemma of course is that we could have been racking chips, assuming we didn't PSO, so would (will?) we make it to the mean of 6 rolls or the average of 8.5 rolls? These are questions this newbie (wannabe toss influencer) keeps asking himself? I have read that SR begins betting after the third roll, but I am a 'lone wolf' type like TT and don't have the luxury of betting on the quirks of casino regulars on my trips. I have to agree on the many discussions Iv'e read on this forum about the suicide of betting $204 across right out of the gate. (Thank you SR.) I'm just realizing that probably nobody can provide any helpful suggestions since the decision of 'when' and 'how' to bet is a very individualized.
