Interesting thread along with some excellent suggestions. Isn't this one of the most important questions? Do I go in at the beginning of a roll
by betting big; or wait a few rolls to prove to myself the toss looks good? The dilemma is that PSO occurs most frequently on the third roll, next most frequently on the second roll, then on the fourth roll. (Thank you WOV for that practical information) The dilemma of course is that
we could have been racking chips, assuming we didn't PSO, so would (will?) we make it to the mean of 6 rolls or the average of 8.5 rolls?

These are questions this newbie (wannabe toss influencer) keeps asking himself? I have read that SR begins betting after the third roll, but I am a 'lone wolf' type like TT and don't have the luxury of betting on the quirks of casino regulars on my trips.

I have to agree on the many discussions Iv'e read on this forum about the suicide of betting $204 across right out of the gate.
    (Thank you SR.)

I'm just realizing that probably nobody can provide any helpful suggestions since the decision of 'when' and 'how' to bet is a very individualized.

By definition, a "point-seven out" occurs in two rolls. I would guess that the mathematicians at WOV know this.

Not being a prick, just pointing out definitions. The seven is favored on every roll.

No offense taken Koko. Seems there are too many 'terms' to define in craps. If PSO occurs in two rolls, what is a PSO in three rolls called?
PSO? Then how does on distinguish one from the other if not measured by the number of rolls?

Wouldn't that be after the 4th roll? Third roll would be: PNSO? Too much emphasis on semantics! Makes communication unnecessarily difficult. Tks.

Some folks should just pick up a pair of dice and have 6's kiss. No matter how you rotate them, 4 hardways will never be present. Nor 4 sevens. The definition of a Hardway set is that ALL FOUR F***ING hard ways show. Back to Kansas!

I need to apologize to Rudeboy for this post. Rereading it after almost 2 yrs., I'm disappointed in myself to have been so defensive, absolutely no sense of humor. BTW, what happened to Rudeboy?

I'm sure he got over it pretty quick......he was a dealer all his life, and a lot of it in a Reno "sweat" joint....sure he has handled a "remark" or two in his day. :)

I think he retired and moved back to his home state of Oregon. When he quit dealing, he probably put the craps thing to bed. But I enjoyed his posts, wish he would have stuck around a bit.

Well, I retired last year and returned to my hometown in Oregon as my elderly Mother is kinda falling apart. Thought I'd give the dice world a little time out...I've played low limit a handful of times at a couple of Native American located on our coast here...I'll be frank, these yokels don't give you much bang for your buck...limited competition breeds piss poor product. IMHO...these f**kin' joints are situated about 100+ miles from each other and if you don't care for their gaming philosophy, pack your shit and go to the next joint...2 1/2 hours away...lumpy dealers, homely cocktail gals...but f**k it, it's action, right??!! LMAO!!! I'll probably start checking back in here on a more regular basis...:cool::cool::cool:

When I quit posting here almost a year ago, there were numerous gaggles of people trolling the shit out of everybody else. Coc****ckers were very rude and ignorant...I wanted to get away from the negativity coming off these idiots...I'm not naming names 'cause they're probably still posting here,(oops!). I see around the net that Frank Scoblette has faded away...I don't wish Frank any bad juju whatsoever, ya' gotta admire a guy that runs a con for that long...truthfully, I hope he's allright...:D:D

Give Frank credit, a likable guy who has made a living peddling a game we all enjoy (sometimes).
