Wow! How long did it take to dream up that inane post?
You get one case coming out of LV- can we say ghost town?
Trouble with this disease - if it gets to your lungs it's " ventilator city" right Van Duck ?
Yes Ma'am, ya see, what happened here was, that I wanted to say something, without saying too much, ya know? It took a while, but I think I "nailed" ya know what I'm sayin, Ma'am?
It's really hard to get a good read on this thing. If the numbers we're getting are correct, then it might not be all that contagious. Must be at least 15-20 million people in this "hot-zone" in china, and about 75,000 have contracted the disease, so that would only be about 1/2 of 1%. It might be containable. I don't know what you could do, except wait and "ride it out". Unless you have a place where you can go, and make yourself "scarce", for a while. It will most likely kill a lot more jobs, than it does people. Yes Dave, the lungs is what this thing goes after. It is a Virulent form of pneumonia. You know how when your getting a cold, sometimes your nose will will start to ceaselessly drip a thin clear mucus? Well, if your lungs do that, you will drown. That's how this thing kills you.
its good to hear the casino is at least doing something to combat the spread, before this, I think they had one 86 y/0 arthritic riddled woman wiping a machine once a hour with a dirty rag.
Lately at work most projects have been block work...I wash my hands with white vinegar to cut the lime and salts for a little while after I smell like a walking salad dressing
It all depends on how long this thing can live on a surface. One article I read said maybe 9 days. If it's even half that, then it's impossible to stop the spread. Just ask yourself. Where was this $20 bill I've got in my wallet , four days ago? The guy that died in washington state, wasn't even one of the known cases. That's how fast it can kill you. They have about a month, to find an answer.
Sounds to me like what these people need is some of Grandma's old rifle ball tonic. Once, Pa was lung shot and Grandma got to collecting sassafras and what not and fixed up a batch. Well Pa he drank it and next morning he got into such a coughing fit that he coughed that ball right up! Said it was the tonic that done it.
It's no joking matter. Though not a deadly, as it might be, it is still serious enough to indicate how quickly a contagion, can change the economic landscape. You can say it's only 6% fatal, but do any of us know what that really means? Another way to say it, would be, it's 100% fatal to 6% of those that contract it. I'm thinking it would be a good idea, to take any reasonable steps, to avoid this thing. MATE!
I haven't been to the casino since the outbreak. That's how serious I am about it.
Have to build up immune system. Echinasia- elderberry- olive leaf- garlic does work. Not going to the casino now.
Read an article last night that claimed cat on stick restaurant sales were down 30 to 60% across the United states.
Odd part was it is the Asian population that isn't going. Chinatowns and areas with high Asian populations saw the greatest drop in business.
I figured it would be paranoid White people that weren't going.
We went to Prairie Meadows last night and it was as busy as usual.
No luck at craps. Was up a couple hundred at one time but when the wife came by wanting to go home I was down $140 same amount as she was. Every time I tell her we'll leave after this point cycle is over the seven comes on the next roll. She's better for the casinos bottom line than the drink girl. Lol.
I don't think garlic will help. One of the biggest outbreaks is in Italy.
Night Attack the one thing I remember vividly when the wife and I visited Sydney and New Caledonia in the early 90s was the great amount of Asian tourists...is it still that way?
Hang-on for a bit, while he looks it up.
What does "busy as usual mean" ?
It was actually a larger crowd than a typical Sunday evening but the Girls high school BB tournaments start this week so it should of been a little busier than a normal Sunday night.
I had to walk around for 15 minutes waiting for a seat to open on the craps machine and empty seats were filled within a minute of two all night. That rarely happens on a Sunday.
Maybe everybody is working their "bucket list" while their still well.
In the United States in 2018, 169,936 people died from accidents, 55,672 died from the flu.
You're 3 times more likely to trip going back into Moms basement and kill yourself than you are likely to die from the flu.
