night attack, I hope things are improving over there a bit. I live in Nassau county, a suburb of NYC, we have the highest concentration of infection in America. (also the most dense population)

Hey Liman, glad you guys are safe.

Things are not improving here either. Our tally has climbed to over 3000 infections and now 16 deaths. Most of them in my state of NSW. Of course these numbers are minuscule in comparison to the US and NY but we are also a much smaller population. Governments everywhere were too slow to react and were just trying to reassure the public that they are well equipped to handle the outbreak. Total political bullshit as usual. Have they never heard the phrase prevention is better than a cure.

When news of this broke in China and the rapid spread, everyone should have closed their borders to travellers. Any expats returning home should have been taken to mandatory isolation, not told to go home and isolate. On the way home they stop off for lunch, to the chemist, to the bank etc...People are still doing the wrong thing as they don't care about high risk groups. The economy would still be running if we did close the borders straight away, we'd have been on top of the virus with absolute minimal infections and it would have cost the country a whole lot less than it is costing us now, economically.

Warnings from doctors in other nations such as Italy are falling on deaf ears. Everybody seems to want a lockdown but the PM. So each state is taking matters into their own hands shutting down schools and what not till we will eventually lock down as a nation state by state.

I too was for a lockdown but now have changed my view because people still don't do the right thing such as social distancing so it all seems like a waste of time. They don't have the balls here to police it stringently anyway and all they can come up with is the brilliant idea of releasing low risk prisoners or those coming to the end of their sentence, early. I can see parliament meetings now.......Sure the virus is spreading and killing people mister speaker, and we don't have enough masks and ventilators mister speaker, but we need to start releasing prisoners, isn't it their right mister speaker........cocksuckers.

Anyway, don't lock the place down as it will just make it harder for me to get groceries and food on the table. I lock myself down and if I need to go out i do so wearing a mask and rubber gloves and when I return I wash my hands. No one else comes into the house. I know that is not full proof but it is something and to lock myself inside as much as possible is not that dramatic a change from my every day life.

Stay inside as much as you can till the worst blows over.

A couple weeks ago I finished a regiment of he Zpac. I have heart atrial flutter which is barley controlled with meds. It was a real chore keeping it in rhythm for the weeks I was taking the zpac. Doc told me it was a side effect when he prescribed it, I told him I would handle it, but it cleared my lungs good. Gotta be proactive.

I cannot not read a newspaper in the morning, I tried, I need it.
some claims that the virus lasts of certain services for days, even weeks.
    who knows.
we just received notice from our local municipality that there is no more recyclable collections(papers and bottles), due to recyclers concerns about the virus remaining on surfaces they are shutting down, so now we are told to just put all recyclables with our regular trash in plastic bags.
this is stuff Id never even think of, but the virus is now touching every single part of everyones lives.
the worst of all of it, is the uneasy fear-filled attitude of most people.

when people start telling strangers, hey, make sure you are at least 6 feet from me on a check out line, its easy to see how paranoia is setting in hard.

    I have Afib too.

A few years ago, Zpac put me into irregular rhythm. I go into this every 3-4 years for the last 30 years. I usually have to go to the ER where, typically they perform a cardioversion. Zpac is the only thing on my allergic reaction chart. Funny that you mentioned that.

My first episode was February, 1987, when I was 35 years old. My heart skips a number of times daily and I can feel every skip. I took an aspirin a day for 20 years and graduated to Eliquis when I turned 66. I am due for another episode soon. I limit my alcohol limit to 3 and I don't drink every day. Booze and Afib don't mix.

I was hospitalized for it around 2004. I was running a Sears store and my Home Improvement manager had a brother who was a Jesuit priest. I am Jesuit educated. Talking to him from my hospital bed, I asked him to call his brother and ask him to say a prayer for me. At that very instant, my heart converted on it's own and I went back into normal sinus and was discharged shortly thereafter.

At that time, I had been away from the Church for many years. I had tried to go to confession 2x and get back into good standing while renewing my faith, but chickened out both times. I finally did go to confession the Saturday after that hospital incident and this sinner has been going to Mass weekly ever since. I go to Tuesday Mass at St. Joan of Arc, whenever in Las Vegas, since I did that on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 and won $5235 on a Golden Nugget craps table that night. They do a Polish Mass at 9:15 am every Sunday. Been there, done that. It's a hoot!

This thing is not in my head. This thing is hear, if you can't see it, it's because you have your head stuck in the sand. You still do not know what's happened do you? Take a good look around you, because the noose is closing. The stores are closed, so you can't prep. for anything. You're being confined to your house, (divide and conquer). The national and state parks are closed, to (shrink refuge). Sports, and movies, restaurants, and churches are closed, we have only the "propaganda tube" and the net. Your portfolio is shot. This may be only the first salvo, who knows. I don't know the perpetrator, but my best guess, is that it's an "Inside job".

Bake the newspaper in the oven at about 250 degrees, for at least 30 min. that should neutralize any contagion. Place it in a covered pan, to limit available oxygen.

    Washington Post, March 21, 2020)

    Only Barack and Hillary can.

“When asked on Friday, “What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now who are scared?,” Trump launched into a tirade against the reporter who asked the question. Like the snake-oil salesman that he is, his version of reassurance is to tout miracle cures that have not been verified by medical science. (Washington Post)

“I weep in anger and frustration imagining what might have been if Hillary Clinton — a sane, sensible adult — had won. We couldn’t have avoided the coronavirus, but we could have ameliorated its effects. We could be South Korea (102 deaths) rather than Italy (4,825 deaths and counting).

Thank Goodness that he’s only weeping “in anger and frustration” rather than out there hunting down stay-at-home addresses.

The Dems and Media want everybody waiting at home in a panic
Boot has been driven deranged all because it was Trump, not Clinton and Obama who brought back a booming economy to America, including the lowest unemployment levels in 50 years, and by creating millions of jobs.

Everything was going great guns until the Coronavirus outbreak—which arrived days after the Dems lost their Impeachment Trial.

The Dems and Media want everybody waiting at home in a panic.

More than 17,000 people died with the Swine flu on Obama’s watch, but there was no panic then.

While the Dems were investing all energies on Impeachment, Coronavirus came to call.

When President Trump cut travel China back on Jan. 31, Democrats screamed he was being “racist”.

Patently ignoring being called “racist” the president and his hardworking Task Force forge ahead with ways to keep America safe.

Let’s get back to reality, folks. Obama loathed America and bragged about fundamentally transforming it.

Hillary hates not only President Trump but all of his supporters who committed the unforgivable crime of voting for him.

AOC: Tinker Bell of the Green New Deal
She calls people who vote for whom they want in the Oval Office “DEPLORABLES.”

Yesterday on CNN we had Tinker Bell of the Green New Deal airing her nightmare visions via CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Thinking that folk may have been bored hanging out home on Sunday, Tapper brought Tinker Bell on for a prime time matinee, where she extolled the virtues of soul-killing Socialism, dishonestly claiming that Trump called the Wuhan coronavirus a “hoax”.

Even the Washington Post and Politifact debunked this lie weeks ago.

Tapper used the AOC spouting off socialism opportunity to send out the rescue crew for scientists like Dr. Anthony Fauci, who he claims are being muzzled and not allowed to talk.

AOC just repeated the lie that President Trump called coronavirus a "hoax."

This is not true, and has been debunked by numerous fact checking sources.

    This would've been a great time for a fact check, @jaketapper... http://checkyourfact.com/2020/02/29/fact-check-donald-trump-coronavirus-hoax-south-carolina-rally/ …

Dr. Fauci seems to be in Confusion Collusion territory
‘Dr. Fauci Slams the Media for Continually Trying to ‘Divide’ Him and Trump’ (Townhall, March 22, 2020)

Dr. Fauci seems to be in Confusion Collusion territory.

It’s not the media who is trying to “divide” him and Trump.

Fauci was already divorced from Trump and writing gushing love letters to Clinton before Coronavirus came to call. (Conservative Tree House , March 20, 2020)

Been going through a lot of emotional swings lately. Trying to avoid the virus, and if you can do that, then there will be economic damage to deal with, and none of us knows what those consequences will be. This thing is really wearing me down. If say, I die of a heart attack worrying about the virus, and its aftermath, would that be considered, "Died of
    complications of Covid-19"?

Green tea boosts the immune system. Plenty of caffeine. Hopefully Long Islanders can still boil water. Almonds also boost the immune system.

Zpac is known to affect heart rhythm for those who have arrhythmia. i don't have AFIB. Mine is way crazier as I have little expectation of a regular heartbeat. The atrial valve will just flutter between beats. Sometimes a few times, sometimes more. When it's really going i feel it in the pit of my stomach and will go into sweats and all i can do is stop moving til it slows down. i take aspirin sometimes it mellows it out faster. Being consistent with my two meds Metoprolol & Flecainaide. M is blood pressure med but my BP has never been way high. It keeps my heartbeat down. like 49 - 56 bpm. i just carried a office chair up 12 steps and it only got to 62. Problem is the limbs use up all the O2 in the blood and i start huffing hard. The F is a beta blocker and keeps the many different wild sinus signals at bay, sort of, yet it still happens. i already had a ablation to cut off the signals but I don't think it helped much. In some ways it hurt my heartbeat.
There is no one i can find so far who knows what the cause of these illnesses are. Also I have run some tests on other people and it seems many of them have heart arrhythmia and do not know it. I am certain i have had it for many years and was not aware. This coming from probably the best swimmer you know unless you know a Olympic athlete. It only got this bad about 5 years ago. My biggest fear is a stroke. I take aspirin when the heartbeat is a mess. Vitamin D is also a good blood thinner. I could fill a page telling about what I have learned about Ablation operations.

    Setting-

Metoprolol a yes for me too.

Ablation discussed in general but not recommended by my cardiologist. I know a couple guys who have had it done with no positive effects.

Funny you should mention almonds. Shopping the snacks isle for provisions the other day, in the nut section I noticed that they were out of everything but almonds.

ABOUT TIME ~ Enough People Have DIED!!!

    • ">

A drug President Donald Trump backed as a possible “game changer” in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic received an emergency-use designation from U.S. regulators.

The Health and Human Services Department accepted 30 million doses of the drug, hydroxychloroquine, from Novartis AG’s Sandoz unit, Secretary Alex Azar said in a statement late Sunday.

Normally used to treat malaria, hydroxychloroquine yielded promising yet inconclusive results in a small coronavirus trial. While Trump has said the drug is safe, it does carry significant side effects. Some people have been sickened, with one reported death, after taking various versions to try to ward off the new illness.
