Yes with all these Asians visiting be wary. Stay out of Asian restaurants and especially the Asian games area. Load up with Elderberry & Echinasia. Keep your immune system strong. Use a salt nasal spray.

Yes it has. This Asian virus spreads quickly. Ever notice these weird viruses seem to come from either Africa or Asia. Guess when monkeys or bats are on the menue what do you expect

I usually wear protection when at casino and casino hotel room. Most of health problems I have received at casino are from the Caucasian chicks and only once from an Asian hotty.

    Barney,

What are your feelings towards Capra aegagrus hircus? Is protection necessary? Please don't tell us you bring them to the casino hotel room.

Casinos are as safe as ever. There's 1.5 billion people in China. Divide their numbers by 5 to make a comparison to the USA. In that context Cornavirus is just another flu.

The hype is the biggest danger if it gets flamed to the point that it causes a global economic slowdown or even depression.

A person with a phobia of germs or a weak immune system would be wise to avoid casinos at all times. Casino chips have more germs on them per square inch than your toilet seat and who knows if the person next to you tossing the dice washed their hands after using the restroom?

I have personally witnessed dealers use the bathroom and walk out without washing their hands. Straight back to the craps table.

CDC estimates between 12,000 and 61,000 deaths per flu season from Influenza in the US between 2010/11 and 2017/18. US population is estimated at 309.3M (2010), 327.2M (2018).

At the present time, the biggest danger from coronavirus is the fearmongering from the uninformed. As mssthis1 noted, the world's economies are so intertwined there is risk of a global slowdown/depression even if the actual cases of coronavirus are effectively contained in one part of China.

Pandemics have happened throughout the history of mankind. Black Death (Plague), Flu (1918), Plague of Justinian. Whether it is Darwinism at work or the earth only being able to sustain so many people, or something else entirely, they will continue to happen, culling the number of human beings on the planet. Mother Nature is a most formidable adversary when she wants to be.

Now if you go to Macau casinos in next few months the LID says you should be wary. Now I don't know this is a fact but the LID who frequents Macau frequently says that every times he go there he notices many of locals and suits constantly spitting on floor eventhough they are not chewing a load. I would think this is not a bestest gambling habit considering the virus thing. I can't confirm this but the LID is not known to make up stories.

The drug is for organ transplant patients
    It is an immunosuppressant
I don't have an organ transplant but it keeps my neurological disease under control

The current flu in the U.S. Has killed 14000 people, from an estimated 26 million who have had it, including me. This amounts to one death for about each 2,000 infections. The corona virus is killing 1 person in 40 that get it, so, it's about 50X more deadly. Don't kid yourself, this thing needs to be takin seriously. The quarantines, have helped contain it, but this would not be a a good time to become complacent. The other problem with this sort of thing, is that it can have really bad social and economic consequences, so that any data regarding the number of cases, and fatalities, may not be accurate, and if they're not, you know it's worse, not better. So, no casinos, no massages, no food that is served with chop sticks, and definitely, no dry cleaning. :)

why would anything think Chinese americans would carry the disease anymore than anyone else. maybe your neighbor has been to china the past 2 years and is a carrier.
casinos, subways, bars, clubs, hospitals, schools, have always been breeding grounds for germs.
    the worst is an aircraft.
one person sneezes hes infecting half the aircraft.

A person of Asian decent, is much more likely to be corresponding with, or had contact with, someone from the infected area. I don't know how long the virus can survive outside of a host, and nobody is saying. If it's a life-and-death situation, one should err on the side of caution. With a contagion, you want to avoid, the problem, but there are never any guarantees.
